yeah, there's a really good ness player in the group i usually play with, and i have learned the hard way YOU DO NOT CHALLENGE THE PK THUNDER RECOVERY!!!!! Unless you have pocket or something else like that, but even then, you have to move BEFORE the thunder comes out or it'll be too late

In all seriousness please make sure Wren checks in with a Doctor over that black out. Black outs can be signs of some pretty nasty things, and not just being over excited.
I think he blacked out because he exhaled a LOT of air at a time. You can basically make yourself pass out like this on purpose. (not saying he did on purpose, duh), but given his physique and the fact that he ride the one wheel a lot and snowboards in the winter and likes to exercise quite often, I would say he is fine and doesn't have any underlying conditions.

SirWrender for real that down B spike was mad impressive, the hitbox of that move that spikes is only out for literally 1/30th of a second and to be able to line that up in the air is something that pro players would struggle to do

@Clippy That CAN happen. It depends what his posture was before hand, and how he was pinned between the table and his chair. Usually if you’re bright enough to fake the sweating, confusion, and cutting off that Wren did, you’d let your body fall where it felt natural to. In some cases, that’s your head hitting the table.
Also the play style of niko I feel like is harder always having to be super close quarters while dean is just zoning relying on one move the entire game
Both characters are low tier that can be very effective against newer players. My respect to both of them, they definitely have some strengths as players, but also some weaknesses.

FANTASTIC. I haven't played Smash in years, but I found the action gripping. And the human drama? Glorious. I audibly gasped at the last three eliminations. NODE, this was wonderful.

That blackout was actually very real I don't know why it's being played off as a joke, it looks like it was a combination of overexcitement and lack of air to the brain, none the less please get checked out, you're a young guy still
I'd say it's normal, he was screaming at the top of his lungs right after talking, and trying to talk right afterwards, combination of lot of blood pressure in the head and lack of air. Tho it's sweet we get concerned for them :).

Even though it was a great match and you hate to see it end how it did, but if I could give a slight pointer to hopefully help you crush the rest of the office next year. This is the most impressive smash bros tournament that I ever watch.. and I think this is the first time where all the player coming out with their inner competitiveness, what a great moment
I remember the kid in my high school cafeteria commons saying PK fire op on a microphone and through the school speakers and the introduction of the school clubs were going on in the area. (Smash club).
Being an OG Ganon main (well, not main-main, but still), it hurt me to see that Niko had the clear, EZ killshot at 25:46 but misjudged his trajectory in relation to the trajectory of the spikey and mistakenly chose to air dodge where he didn't have to, thereby missing an easy B-side chokeslam on DDD from the ledge right down into the abyss (at 0% no less, for extra salt points haha), and whereas DDD had been protecting against that by inhaling a few secs earlier, he wasn't at that moment. It was the PERFECT opportunity to shut Dean down SO hard, lmao. Ah well, good match anyhoo boys *nods and applauds*.
Wren is honestly the underdog this year's tournament needed. That round vs nat ended in STYLE! Be careful with the blackouts Wren though, god dangit! Thet can be really bad!

Wren's character development is amazing, from absolute newbie to fighting it out with Niko in a really good match.
I feel Niko is still the best due to that fact that he’s made it to the final all three times and winning one of them.
