    I don't have a mower for my BX , but I enjoyed the video anyway. That is one way to determine if you are doing a good job, if someone likes it even if it doesn't pertain to them . Be safe and God bless you and your family !!!!

    Didn't realize that could be fixed. Learn something new everyday. That flopping noise drives me crazy. Thanks for the video!! Keep on tracking! God bless.

    I guess I missed the "adjustment" part of this video. Which way does the bolt go to make the deck higher to me the spec?

  • @botabob
    @botabob 7 лет назад +2

    Thanks for pointing out this tip. However, I am not sure how you accomplished the adjustment. Could you explain how you adjusted the deck to within .020" of the deck stop?

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  7 лет назад +2

      Sorry I was unable to get the camera in to actually show how it was done. Look at the video and I show were the stop is when the deck is down. It is easier to find it with the deck down. Then raise the deck all the way up. Then insert you feeler gauge between the linkage and the stop. You may need a flashlight to see. Adjust the deck til the feeler gauge has a little resistance on it when you insert it between the linkage and the deck. If the feeler gauge is loose you need to tighten the bolt at the rear of the tractor. If you can't get the feeler gauge in between the stop and the linkage, loosen the bolt.

      +94BULLITT - Thanks for the explanation. I thought that was how it was done. So, when I got home I checked out my BX1850 and I don't have a floppy mower deck. Keep coming with the videos. They help pass the time when things are slow. BTW, love the OCDC video. This would be great for when I run my mulching blades on the mower.

      @@TractorTech mine bypasses the stop. The video shows what to do but didn’t explain the adjustments much when things are mess up.

      My linkages doesn’t stop at the stopper on the passenger side it goes right to the top n hits the frame, theirs a gap it misses the stopper, any ideas ?

    Will this adjustment also affect the deck cutting height knob not going to the top locked position?

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  6 лет назад

      +John Waddell Yes this does affect the top position. There may be another adjustment on the top position too.

    What did you actually adjust? The rear bolt you loosened the lock nut on?

  • @Stegs

    my bx just started doing this in the raised position
    Did you turn that bolt in? or did you turn it out? I turned that bolt in on my bx and it didnt fix the issue. was i suppose to turn it out or maybe i didnt turn it in enough?

      Turn it in, you may need to go more.

      @@roberthalstead4772 That's normal. The linkage on these things is so horribly engineered and built there's way too much flex in it to allow for any type of adjustment to correct any deck bounce, and doesn't really lock the deck into any position you adjust it to....after a few uses the whole linkage assembly is all out of whack again. I've been trying to adjust the linkage on my BX2680 this past year and nothing will really fix it, its an ongoing issue, and it also prevents the deck from going into the TOP position to lock it from raising and lowering when you want to use the rear 3 point hitch.

    I have a bx1880 with a 48” deck, when I raise the deck all the way up it makes a clanking sound at the highest point, like the deck is coming up to far. Will this adjustment fix that also?

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  5 лет назад

      Yes, it should.

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c 2 года назад

      It does for a little while, then its all back to slapping around again. Been dealing with this problem and the lack of being able to lock the deck in the TOP position for over a year. Nothing really fixes any of these issues, the linkage itself is just garbage from the beginning...Kubota knows it and won't do anything about it. But they'll sure charge you $165+ an hour to tell you that.
