Your game hunting and Japan travel videos are my favorite content that you have put out. I of course love seeing all the game stores, but I especially love all the in-between things like local culture. Gives me a little taste of traveling when I can't at the moment. Would love to keep seeing more of these!
I’m glad you had such a good time in Phoenix. Most people have this idea that it’s just a dusty hicktown. As a California transplant, it’s good to see people realize it’s a bustling city, filled with great food and pretty much anything you could want in a major metropolitan area,surrounded by tons of natural beauty.

Glad to see my area get some love. I’ve been a longtime customer at Zia, Fallout, and Bookman’s. And I just discovered 1Up Games as well as Desert Sky Games. Phoenix has a pretty cool gaming scene. Glad to see that you were able to get some great finds.
Was passing through Phoenix in January stopped at Fallout, great store! I'll have to check the others next time
1up generally has lower stock but im within walking distance. Gaming zone def the best place around imo, check both locations out

Wow, thank you so much for this video! I moved to Tempe in November and was super excited to see Zia since I live right down the road from it and consider it my local shop. I've been a little disappointed in the game selection though, so it was so nice to see other places that I need to check out. I was bummed moving here from San Diego but your enthusiasm for the game shops made me feel a little better about it.
I'm actually just about to move there next weekend! I made notes of all these places and can't wait to check them out!
Pick ups videos are a must when I’m driving for an over an hour on the road or sometimes at the gym

I have lived in Phoenix for almost 20 years and never heard of these places, except Bookmans and Zia records (have spent HOURS looking at the games, books and music sections, in both places). Thanks for showing me my new hang out spots!

@@XDWX there is a fallout games in tempe, a store called gamesmash in avondale( their selection is overpriced in my opinion), and desert sky games in chandler(probably has the best arcade in az).

Oh they have been doing rpg maker since the PS2! It’s a long running series! The newest one is available on switch/PS4/pc!

The PC version is regularly available in Humble Bundle at a great discount, if anyone wants to try it.
I've used it on Windows from time to time, very niche but very potential!
So how is that I have been wanting to try it out for a long time but I always got a feeling that it would disappoint and it would be to time consuming to actually create something worth it. So what are your thoughts?
I used to live in Arizona. Hated it, but after I moved away I realized it was kinda nice. Summers are way brutal though. That’s basically your winter. Another awesome video dude!

@@MetalJesusRocks you wouldn't be the first - there's already a TON of PNW people in Phoenix and that number is going up exponentially. Housing costs have obviously gotten nuts in PNW so people are selling their homes for big amounts and then coming here and buying cash because it's cheaper here (though that's changing quickly).
My hometown, 1up and fallout were my go to stores! Awesome episode!!
Seeing that Game Boy kiosk brings back memories from when I first saw one in my local videogame store as a kid, safe to say I went back there and played it quite a few times until I finally managed to afford my own Game Boy.
I'd forgotten about "Tail of the Sun", that game absolutely consumed me for weeks back in the day. That was just before you could hop on the internet to figure out what was going on in a weird game.
I've never seen that one before! I will have to look for a copy now. Looks awesome!

Great stuff and cool to see this all on your trip. That Off-road cabinet at 1up games, been playing that back in the day at the arcade. Interesting Atari Jaguar kiosk at fallout games, never seen that version. The Gaming Zone having that arcade / tournament room is a great addition to the store.

It's all subjective. I lived in Tempe/Mesa for only 4 months to take some classes, and I hated every minute of it. I was so happy to see Arizona in the rear-view mirror. 😂

I agree that the Phoenix area is beautiful, because I don't live there either. I usually go out that way for concerts- a few good friends of mine live there- and every time I land at the Phoenix airport my breath is taken away. Even just the view from the sky landing is amazing, but next time I'm out there I'll steal one of my friend's cars and go game hunting!
