EXPLORING the NAZI BUILT TUNNELS of the KSIAZ CASTLE | Wałbrzych, Poland

- The Ksiaz Castle was built in the 13th century and was home to the powerful Hochberg family for generations. That was until during WWII the Nazi's took over the castle. They created a system of underground tunnels, which they forced prisoners of war to build. Hitler chose to make the castle his personal headquarters. He had a bedroom in the castle, with an elevator that lead to the tunnels. Today I'm going to visit the castle and explore the infamous tunnels. In an upcoming video, I will visit the rest of the castle.

I saw 50€ for a second, just that
Ok, ive just seen 50 pln are about 11 €. One of the best yt paychecks ppl give. You a good boy
@@manuelfg2902 if there is no point why are you talkin at all?
After the last 3.6 years of theatre and still going it's made me wonder how accurate our history books might be.
The financial elites get to decide how our history is written.
Nice one Kerry
Some say that history is written by the victors. I've learned so much just being in Poland for a short time. Can't wait to learn more. Thanks Moon.
Wow what a tour! Thanks Kerry
It was an experience that I won't soon forget.
Interesting video, waiting for the next part.
What a crazy experience. Next video will be coming soon. 👌🏰🇵🇱😎
Very nice trips, welcome in Poland 🙂
Thank you, so many interesting places to visit here. 🙏🏻
Good videos on the castle and tunnels. 🎉
I'm so glad that you enjoyed them. Thank you. 🙏🏻
Nice i even subscribed now coz i like the places you visit and how you show them :D
Appreciate your kind comment. Thanks Pralinka. 🙏🏻
Thankyou my friend
Happy to share this experience.
In Poland, Nazi remnants are so popular that we even have a feature film 'Dancing w kwaterze Hitlera' (Dancing in Hitler's headquarters) :) The film is set 25 years after the war
I don't blame you for dancing there. I would dance on his grave. Such an evil person. 😈
Cool. I have to go there. I'm waiting for the next video 😊
It's worth the trip. Thanks Moustache.👍
beware of castle ghosts
I'm sure there are some down in these tunnels. 💀😱
Wow. What an interesting video How many steps did you walk today? It's amazing you walked where Hitler was at one time. The tunnels were very damp and scary looking.. Can you imagine working in that environment.
The prisoners who built these tunnels had no choice. They must have suffered greatly to build these miles of tunnels. It was a bit scary down there. Especially when they turned the lights off.
Hitler was never there. This place might have become one of his quarters, but the war ended sooner.
great haircut my friend. Put your hat on when you're walking on a sunny day.
Thanks, I like wearing the hat when it's a bit cold out. Appreciate all of your support.🙏🏻🧢😎
Nice walk 👍
It was surreal to tell the truth. Thanks.
Very interesting! Was the castle ever returned to the original family?
I don't think so, it's now a museum. Unless the somehow donated in to Poland. I'm not 100% sure though. Great question.
Build by evil forces. It’s impressive and sickening at the same time. Last year we were in Berchtesgaden visited the Berghof and eagle’s nest, was very exciting too, standing in the same spot of the famous panorama window
Well said Marc, those who masterminded these tunnels were the most vile, evil men.
Did you finally find the golden train because everyone is looking for it and no one has ever found it yet? 😁😁😁😁😁😁
I was looking for it, but no luck unfortunately. 🚂🪙😆
@@TravelAddictGuy Well, you're out of luck, like the rest of us, but some people liked it so much that they come to Poland every year on vacation and look for this train all over Poland. Have fun with it. 👍👍👍👍😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nuclear weapon facilities, same plans and people who build Norad in America after the war.
But the Germans did not have nukes at the time. They were trying to make an atomic bomb, but the Allie beat them to it.
Doesn’t it look like the castle from Shrek? ☺️
Maybe a little.
@@TravelAddictGuy I wonder if it was an inspiration for Shrek. Watch it again when you have a chance 😀
Wow i never realised NATO had secret tunnels !!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍
😄😄😄
not Nazi but Germany tunels !!!!!!!
They were built by Nazis. It said that in the videos shown to us.
my home town :)
they didnt tell you right, bus 8 goes straight to the castle
thers lots of these underground facilities all over lower Silesia, around Walbrzych, but also go and see Klodzko, Lubiaz(Cysters trail in general at lower silesia), and the towns around mount Sniezka
A guy checked online and said that day none of the trains went to the castle. So maybe he was wrong. Anyway, it was a nice walk.
It would be creepy to go down there alone at night. Thinking about that at one time all the Nazis crawled around there. Would make a good horror movie though.
@@vandyke4945 It is a creepy place to say the least. Who knows what those bas^&rds were up to down there.
Incredible video of Ksiaz Castle in Poland. Great stroll through Castle tunnels and reviewed the history that came with it! Hard labor for prisoners forced to dig these tunnels! Thanks for sharing!
History is not always nice. These prisoners suffered greatly at the hands of their evil captors. It was incredible to actually tour these tunnels. 🙏
Hej..ale fajnie,że tam byłeś. To wspaniałe miejsce dla odkrywców historii🙂 Pozdrawiam
I really enjoyed being there, even if I didn't understand the Polish. It's a truly unique place. In the next video , I'm going inside the castle. Dziekuje. 🙏🏰😎
Now it's time for the Underground City of Osówka Complex (Projekt Riese)
I will be studying what this place is. Thanks for sharing.
@@TravelAddictGuy You really should. great content material there. So many of those projects were started but never finished. There is Książ Castle you've visited, but in addition to that, there are Complex Rzeczka, Complex Włodarz, Complex Osówka, Complex Sokolec, Complex Jugowice, Complex Soboń, Jedlinka Palace, and Głuszyca (Wüstegiersdorf). There are lots of tunnels. The theory is that they were secret bombproof factories to make ammunition and arms...but who knows? There are so many places like that in Poland. I have to say that my homeland is a goldmine for someone like you. Great video. Cheers!
@@JesusMoneyChrist This stuff is so interesting to me. Like you said, who really knows what these tunnels were used for. The tunnels of Ksiaz are very damp, with water dripping down on you. That does not seem like great condition to make ammunition. Thanks for sharing all of these.
The place with the tunnels kind of reminds me the first Doom the video game. Kerry, I don’t know if you ever played that, but you were running around killing Nazis and other things.
I did play that a game a few times. My favorite game was the original Tomb Raider.
The largest castle( by area) in Europe or even in the world is Malbork castle.
Yes, you're right. I want to go there on day. Dziekuje bardzo.
Not "Nazis" but Nazi Germany. A small difference, but very important.
You're right. But were there other Nazi's?
@@TravelAddictGuyThis differentiation is important because Germany is claiming now that they were also victims of some "mythical" Nazis who took over minds and souls of Germans who needed to be liberated. I think that such claims are aimed at whitewashing the historic guilt of Germany, similarly as the phrase used by many in the West "Polish death camps" (maybe not so much nowadays). If we do not use the precise language, we might wake up tomorrow in the world that will think that Poland was guilty of the war and Germans were equal victims as the Poles, Jews etc. "libetated" by Russians to that. This is a narrative that Russia and Germany would like others to believe. I know that currently most people in Europe or U.S. know the truth but it might get blurred in future or be unknown in other parts of the world.
I disagree, my friend. Not everyone in germany was or support the nazis. So nazi germany is not fair, cos you're including all germans, who weren't all nazis
@manuelfg2902 I understand your point. But in many documentaries, I've heard them use Nazi Germany. Referring to that period. We're not talking about modern times.
I disagree, Nazi Germany is very fair because III Reich planned and carried out this disaster killing millions of people in Poland. Calling all Germans living at the time Nazis would be unfair.
mood music in the tunnels adds atmosphere.
Thansk DC. I asked my audience to vote music, some music, or no music a few months ago. No music won the vote. But in this situation, I added some.
super interesting. Thanks for sharing !
Thanks Ania. I really enjoyed this adventure. 🙏🇵🇱🏰
Bedankt
Thanks Marc. 🙏🏰😎
