    Thank you for posting this! Amazing insights for improving my playing. The discussion of the mouthpiece and notions of loosening up in the higher register and tightening up in the lower was one of the gems (starting around 1:04:00). Thank you.

    I literally jumped up my Sax play level just from watching this video (emboucher/lip and air) - learned some things my own Pro-Sax instructor never told me.

    Wonderful stuff. Studied with Dave at the "New School Jazz Program" New York City. He was wonderful always present & full of enthusiasm. Dave is a true master, a wonderful person.

    Grateful Master David, you are a magnificent and a complete teacher. it was an amazing surprise for me to hear you explain yourself in an exemplary way, as a true Master of Martial Arts of the East. NAmastê.
    To my bigest surprise, frankly speaking, it is due to the fact that I, regrettably have not yet met you musically, and by listening to your perfect explanation, how to breathe, you demonstrate the professionalism of a real master. grateful Master.

    David Liebman manie sa langue aussi bien que son saxo , c'est certain . Il n'est pas n'importe qui et est très intéressant à écouter . AUCUN DOUTE LA-DESSUS !!! Mais je reste persuadé que si un musicien veut rendre son instrument le plus intéressant et vivant possible , ce n'est pas Coltrane ni personne d'autre qui le lui apprendra aujourd'hui . Le seul capable de vous apprendre ça reste jusqu'à présent le seul , l'unique et jamais contesté : SIDNEY BECHET ! Nous attendons toujours le saxophoniste capable de transmettre autant de sentiments divers que le petit sax soprano de Sidney . Alors , j'attends la relève avec grande impatience..........
