~Program Notes~
I went to my first screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show with some friends in the spring of 2020, right before the national lockdown. Its soundtrack played on repeat in my head that whole summer, and the idea for a DPops arrangement started forming in my head. A critical part of the movie's experience is the liveness of its audience -- the call-and-response traditions, the costumes, the singing and dancing that sublimate this movie, and well-deservedly so, into cult status. And after a whole year spent shivering with antici...pation, we are finally live again! If you know the words, please sing them; if you brought things to throw, throw them (judiciously); if you've already done the Time Warp -- well, let's do it again.
