I had one back at USC and DC in the eighties. Found a twin last summer with only 80k miles. It looks great on my driveway. A very rare sight these days.

I have a 1990 triple white edition . less than 107k miles. It's all original. 5speed convertible. I'm not trying to be rude but, who ever had that car in the video ruined it with those rims and that top. But, still a cool car.

I was never a fan of the college sorority convertible; however, I would consider purchasing the car in a different color scheme: black top, marooned, w/ black BBS rims w/ the lip.

    How big are those wheels?

This car shouldn’t be out in the open to display that’s a beautiful car but it’s not market ready yet. There is a lot of cracks and mistakes. They need to fix the minor problem otherwise the buyer is not going to be happy. I love this car and maintaining to a high level of safety is my first priority. This guy is describing the downside of the car but not how it’s beautifully built with amazing parts

It's ok... The automatics were junk, really. My '89 would have run circles around this. This car has a number of other minor issues that were visible, too. Just that hideous aftermarket gas cap was bad enough. lol There were a number of things that were originally black that were painted (either white, like the air-dam molding, or black, like the mirrors) that should have been treated in better fashion. A kid buying this car wouldn't know any better but anyone seriously into VW Cabby's would have to put a lot of work into this car. I'd be curious to know how much this ultimately went for?
About 95hp stock, I knew more than a few that had far more after swapping the head or even dropping a VR6 in... I used "dropping" loosely, for I had a friend with an '80 VW pickup and a proper VR6 install (turbo, beefed up mounts, heavily modded) that was anything but a drop-in swap. It was a sleeper, too, for it would turn low 7's out at our 1/8th mile track while still being street legal. A Cabriolet, on the other hand, just wasn't made for "fastness". Still rather fun and nimble with even their stock 1.8.

Unfortunately, I'm going to sound like a complete moron, and I don't bother with a professional translation since I only use google translate, but this video turns me on. I don't want to evaluate the aesthetic aspect of the vehicle here, such as modernized lights and the like, but at first glance I see a painted subspoiler under the bumper and !!! nailed!!! mudguards for the vehicle. As a mk1 cabrio owner this totally turns me on. It can be seen that you bought the car at a very interesting price. I also see that the original gasket is missing between the extensions of the fenders and sills. The black drip tray next to the front window is also missing. I'd rather not mention the tank cap - under the original cap, the car corrodes very early in the morning. The original plastic under the rear number plate is also missing. I don't bother watching this video anymore. Please, if you want to sell such cars, study them, thank you.
