1:42 Understanding of human behaviour Tip 1. 3:06 Align the company goals to the team member's personal goals 3:50 Language Tip 2. 4:35 Shift from enforcing an opinion to asking for one 5:49 Conflict resolution Tip 3. 6:58 Understand where does conflict arises from: most do from lack of appreciation or lack of autonomy Tip 4. 7:38 Have honest conversations
This remember me what I did during the last 2 years of my previous job (during 2017 and 2018). My "real" job was a programmer, but according to circumstances, I was more in additional roles such as software architect, product owner, team leader and manager. It was a really interesting time, as I learnt how to deal with people, the persons in my team. I learnt how to hire them, motivate them, reveal the best of them. And, it truly resonates with the content of this video. I focused on what bring light and fire in the eyes of my colleagues, to find how I can rely the project goals to their personal ones. Always focus on people, they build the products, they build company culture thus a kind of family, and the company can be great. Before being great outside, it has to be really great inside :) Love spreading this wisdom, to help more people to be very happy to go to their work place! :D
My take away message is Good Managers are Good Coaches! We are human beings and we are connected Homo Sapiens and we are connected through Language. I love how it's highlighted in this video, 'Language can define the type of Leader You Are'! The recipe for a successful company is its team members. Great Message 🌟 Thank You!
This was so helpful! I loved the tip of asking people for their opinion instead of giving your own. Would this apply to a relationship too? Thanks for making this :) I really appreciate it!
I love everything you shared , I'd love to help my manager , but he tends to get defensive when I suggest better ways of communicating with our team . How do I use this info to help him ?
Hi Kay, the first thing you wanna understand is that you are communicating with someone who is your manager. Which means while you suggest something they might be defensive just because you are suggesting it. If you approach the conversation as a conversation instead of a suggestion it might be easier to communicate with them. I suggest you use the tools in this video to coach your manager :) it works!
WHO THE HELL IS THIS GUY???? WHAT ARE HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS???? Everyone can make videos from tips they've read in books but REAL success might require counterintiuitive approaches!
