After following the conflict for a while, no. There's not such a thing as air cover from jets anymore, mainly because anti air systems are plentiful, the Russians are hardly using aircraft because they get shot down so often, over 100 jets shot down since the beginning of the war which sounds like it's not much but they can only produce about 25 a year. Anti air and drones are dealing with aircraft, not other aircraft. Aerial combat has changed completely from what you're used to, no aircraft is shooting at an enemy aircraft they can see, they just fire a missile that travels dozens of kilometers to the other aircraft if it's not intercepted. Dogfighting is a thing of the past, has been for a long time.
I believe what’s happening is also going to be a three prong attempt, to pull troops from the valance area and other areas to help Ukraine advance as well
What "red line"? When equipment is provided to Ukraine, it becomes Ukrainian. Just like India being provided Russian equipment to defend itself. It has nothing to do with where to equipment comes from. It's who is using it that's important.
