I miss this show so much. As a working theater professional now this show always stimulated when I was studying in college. Holding out hope for a return.

Thank you. It was a privilege to do the series until power-obsessed studio CEOs tried to take it over. That wasn’t going to work for us, so we decided to shut the show down to protect its legacy.

It's hard to think of another person who set herself up for failure more perfectly than Taymor did with Spiderman.

The book is fantastic and honestly it doesn’t make anyone look like a villain. He’s very respectful of Julie. Honestly it would make a terrific movie… maybe with Aaron Sorkin writing the dialogue. Christian Bale can do one of his Oscar bait transformations and play Bono

Interesting. I sure wish Michael Riedel would have written the book of this fiasco himself though.

This is really interesting, but the hosts need to let the guests finish their thoughts.

"'Turn Off The Dark' wasn't a show...It was a machine built by the gods to teach humility." Huh. That's funny, because it doesn't seem like Glen Berger has learned much of anything at all from this show (least of all humility), but he is having a great time throwing Taymor under the bus. Is it a good show? I would say no, but both of them were hired to make it. He takes zero responsibility for the final product, but at least he is making a profit on his tell-all book!

In the book he frequently takes blame. He's refreshingly frank with the notion that everyone involved was passionate but many of them (aside from Julie) quickly realized their long passionate vision was a trainwreck on the stage. I'd say the fact that he was merely a co-writer alongside such big names like Taymour, Bono and Edge, he takes on more blame than he probably had to.

Julie just hired Glen as a yes man. He can't write for shit, and neither he nor Julie had any respect for the comics.

Julie did expect him to mostly be just a yes man, but she also valued his ideas and thoughts. Until she started being ridiculous and he stopped just going along with it. In regard to your other comments, have you read his other plays? They are absolutely brilliant. Also you can’t just turn a comic book, or any book really, word for word into a play; it Never works.

Read your book. Saw the show 3 timer (even wth the shoe song). You are SOOOO the Judas of Broadway. You weren´t even supposed to be on the first promotional picture (the 4 geeks). I know you are reading this... Glen
