- "The 100 Day Mustang" is a series of videos following Samantha Rock as she trains a wild mustang. She has 100 days to gentle and train a wild mustang for the Meeker Mustang Makeover on September 11, 2020 in Meeker, Colorado. This is Part Eight of the series where Sam saddles Sasha for the first time. There will be new parts added on regularly so you can follow along. Sam gives training tips throughout the series.

I had to laugh about how smart Sasha was, with using the saddle as a resting spot, also when Sam was chasing her with the horse I noticed she had a bit of food in her mouth. I must admit that I have fallen in love with that little mare, if I wasn't leaving to go cruising on my boat, I would be tempted to try and buy her when they have the auction.
She is so smart, you are right! Sam is always saying that about this one.
That same thought occurred to me as well. Nifty little mare, smart as can be too.

Sam, I'm curious. During the average day, how many hours did you work with Sasha? Was it all at once, or did you split the training up throughout the day? Great vids, great job. Thank you.
Do you use some of the Clinton Anderson method?
Can you tell me why you leave her with the saddling on to roll because now she knows she can roll with it on or has that never been an issue?
Sam let’s them wear the saddle in the arena to get them used to the feel of it. It’s a light weight old saddle. She has never had a problem with them wanting to roll in a saddle after. Plus they are not let loose like that with a saddle in the arena after they are trained.
