@@BoxingGems It's ok to say that Floyd, Crawford, or Sweat Pea Witaker are some of the best skilled and defensive fighters ever because that's their opinion. But in reality, you can't say that Floyd has better skills than Crawford because Floyd never Switched to Southpaw. A fighter that can expertly switch during any fight has double the skills over any fighter that possesses one skill. This is simple mathematics. The Crawford gets hit alot thing is weird. I've only heard Spence fans say that though lol. Im'a say it so the folks in the back hear it. BEST BREAKDOWNS ON THE TUBE! Great work g very educational.
Spence got hit 172 times and bud got only hit 79 times. Spence fanboys tried to spin it and say he wanted to fight porter style no porter made him fight that why cause Spence don't got the defense, head movement, and foot work he's flat footed lol.
This was fantastic brother. The nuances in this fight were beautiful. Almost every one of Buds opponents at welterweight been about the same size as Spence. Usually 5’9” and up. They all started or eventually went up to 154 or 160. All bigger men aside from maybe Khan. Porter was shorter but stockier.
I agree with you on everything i knew crawford has loads of levels to his game back in 2018 i noticed that even based on what weve seen he has more tools n gameplans stored and he was the guy who made me think bout going ortho then switching just as my opponents got used my stance cause im also a right handed southpaw pluams its based on watching him that i have prepped to fight in multiple ways tempos and combinations only thing we fully have in common is evading before striking or bullying our opponents and also getting caught in fire fights i stopped tho cause i was like hell no why am i doing this im a evasive boxer and more considering i fight at 135 pounds to 140 but i spar some heavyweights too 😅 great vids man i feel this will help me in my journey.
Very well done. I agree Crawford is the most skilled fighter of this era. So much of what he does goes unnoticed by less knowledgeable fans. His footwork is brilliant. The double step back leading to the perfectly precise uppercut counter that floored Porter first time in 10th round was a thing of beauty. He often steps to the side and counters with that quick check hook. Bud is so skilled and does so many things excellently that some get overlooked.
Yo Bru your work is the best break down I've ever seen. I've been watching boxing over35 yrs. Still you make things clearer even for me. Keep it up. Respect
I've been saying this for years... this guy is on par with Robinson Duran Leonard Moore ! This guy can do anything at any given moment... in my humble opinion if he was a natural welterweight, the fight with Spence wouldn't be closer.... not taking anything away from spence because he is incredible... this match up is a dream! Great job on your videos!
Thank for adding that classic Salsa background music by three of the old time greats and my favorite LA MURGA WILLIE COLON & HECTOR LAVOE & YOMO TORO. Crawford vs Spence is a tough one for me because I too am a natural south paw fighter.
Amazing breakdown and easily one of the best Crawford breakdowns ever. Since I appreciate your work so much, I'm really interested in knowing how you think a fight between a prime Mayweather and Crawford could've went. Personally, I feel Bud would've been a horrible matchup for Floyd due to his reach, counter punching skills and thudding power. Also, he can fight from both stances and that would've also given Floyd a lot to deal with. Lastly, Floyd he never had the power to KO any of the top Welterweights and, so, he was gonna have to fight 12 rounds with Bud and I don't think he would've fared well in the later rounds seeing how well Bud carries his power into the later rounds.
I try to stay away from fantasy fights. Much love tho fam. The book on Crawford is staying patient and counter him when he initiates offense. Floyd was a master at that. After that it would be a game of adjustments. If Crawford loses that it would be Crawford selling out and trying to make it a dog fight. I’d favor Floyd for his ability to control dogs and counterpunch.
That was a dope breakdown, Bruh!!! There is a reason why Teddy Atlas said that Bud is THE MOST instinctive fighter he has EVER seen (and Teddy has SEEN a whole lot)!
I mean bud is a street fighter who knows how to box. FMJ probably is the most instinctive tbh, bud is up there though, that high IQ and mental quality they both have goes in the ring.
@@BoxingGems Can you do a fantasy fight film study of Jermell Charlo vs Terence Crawford. I happen to think Crawford stops him but I would love to see your break down of all the holes in Jermells fight game that Crawford would exploit.
I feel like I’ve caught one of your videos before but I didn’t pay attention to it. But this was informational to the highest degree. Definitely gained my subscription. I boxed when I was young, got into wrestling and then started back training in boxing when I joined the army. I’d say I’ve spent 10 years or so in total but most of that I was not aware of or if I was, I never cared for it. But this gave me a lot to reflect on. Great vid G
Now seeing that breakdown shows how skillful Terence Crawford really is. I say Terence Crawford hardly made a mistake when you see the break down in slow motion. I can clearly see Shawn Porter was getting very mad and i do believe that could be the reason why he lost, cause he couldnt find away to break Terence Crawford defence so it was already a game over for Porter.
must've watched this 1000 times bro this shit is a masterpiece. Bud is a different breed. And so are you Gems, best film study in the game i'll stand on that!
Check your mechanics fam. In which leg is your weight? Are you turning your hips to get the weight off the ground? Thumbs up or are you turning the punch over?
@@BoxingGems ok I'm in orthodox when I throw my left hook load up the front should I rotate and transfer the weight into my rear foot or should I try to throw the weight into the punch
I know this is going to sound very strange but do you have one of those punching machines in your area? With the hanging punching bag that “reads” your power? It’s not exactly accurate, but it will be the least expensive way to see what feels better and what produces possibly more power between Keeping your weight on the front leg or transferring from the back leg. It’s proper to sit on the front leg but it’s possible to get away with transferring from the back leg into the twist of the hips. The problem with throwing a lead hand hook transferring from the back leg is it’s not a natural movement in an actual fight. Unless it’s a lead punch, it’s usually after a back hand punch which means your weight should be already on the front foot.
Yet another beautiful breakdown. I love to watch your videos. I am always willing to learn. Plus I like can make the fights a little more interesting if you know what I mean. I love to watch Terence Crawford fight I just wish he fought more often than once every blue moon
Impeccable breakdown 👌 Bud got some stuff in his bag that you can't even teach its just instinctive either you got it or you don't. I already felt like Bud was in a class of his own but after peeping this breakdown I think Bud would be a match-up nightmare for Spence considering their skill set. Sadly I think Spence and his team might be somewhat aware of that as well 😕
I've been saying Bud is the best boxer of this generation for years. If he really wanted to, he could get in the ring and completely shut you out while cruising to an easy win. One of the reasons I love watching him is because even though he has the skills to make it easy for himself, he's a warrior at heart and he wants to finish you. This round was a complete masterclass by Bud, and this video was a masterclass in technical breakdowns. Instead of trying to explain how great Bud is from now on I'm just sending people the link to your videos on him. Salute bro
Hey curious what do u mean when u said he checks his "leverage" U said in the pocket Crawford rocks his hips to check for leverage could u elaborate what leverage is cause I didn't understand the purpose n I don't wanna assume what it is n be wrong
Great vid💯 How would you describe the stance that Crawford fights out of most of the time with his rear to his chest and the lead low You think it could be affective in orthodox?
Thanks fam! 💪🏾 For me it’s just a hybrid type low guard. Mayweather used it from time to time as well. Other orthodox fighters too, so yes, it’s effective either stance.
Negatives: on the surface it’s not inherently protecting anything. You need to be able to control distance very well and have great reflexes to even use it effectively for defense. Positives: You’re throwing punches from an awkward angle. Up jabs,…back hand punches off the chest. Head movement is easier with the hands low…
@@BoxingGems you know BB Fannon and money b always talking about how buds opponents give him a hard time but when you take a close look as to whats going on in slow motion you realize bud is always making boxing moves when he get off his shots and even in the middle of his exchange. Its like he gives a little so he can get alot smart boxing!
Had to subscribe to you bro your are own point with this breakdown talking about different technique I’m not aware about because I’m not a boxer but I’m a good observer of boxing and eye tester, so like when you mentioned the total punches of porter tallied up to 79 and ppl have enough nerve to say Terence Crawford didn’t when that fight or was getting with too much is crazy, plus skills when ppl say that they be throwing that out there like this one guy think that Vergil Ortiz has enough skills to give Crawford a good fight when I totally don’t agree lmk what you think. Also a lot of ppl think ennis has this unbelievable skill set when o Just think he is just a good boxer puncher with good speed and power in both hands.
Ennis and Vergil are good. Vergil is a proven top contender. He can give anyone problems. Ennis would need to step up in comp before I give him a shot to beat a Champion. Right now, I got Crawford stopping either.
@@BoxingGems Yea I got Crawford beating them both too I Just thinking ppl get carried away saying how Virgil could possibly beat a Terence Crawford I think jaron ennis would be the only one who would have a chance. It’s funny how ppl say “ oh jaron ennis had unbelievable skills” I’m like from what I see he has the same amount of skill as a top fighter of a Terence Crawford or Spence but it’s not unbelievable and for Ortiz he has some skills but not enough to beat Crawford tho.
Probably just me, but it’s amazing how much more one sided the fight looks when slowed down.. can’t really catch all the details at full speed but it looks so much more hopeless for Porter when you can see them
I hear you fam. I saw most of this live but their are some things I didn’t catch until the second watch. But of course when you slow it down it will make everything more obvious. It’s about training your eyes fam. That’s the channels goal for fans. I’ve been doing a lot of upcoming fight breakdowns because the boxing schedule has been great lately but I’ll get back to more fighter breakdowns when they relax. Once you see these maneuvers over and over again you will be able to pick it up at normal speed 💪🏾💯
Peace God...yo I watched that fight twice but after seeing this breakdown I feel like I might need cataracts surgery....:(.....Incredible eye for details fam....I definitely learned a lot about the science from your content.....Respect....
Bud is my favorite . I pick him over Errol. I just think Bud has more tools at his disposal . The Dog in Bud, might leave him to Errol's vicious body attack. 😳 If this fight actually happens, it be the Sugar and Hitman fight I have been waiting to see . Epic.... Mills Lane " Let's Get It On "
I salute your knowledge of boxing. Bud is a generational boxer. It a reason when the fight goes on Bud pick his opponent apart. Once he notices your habbit your strength and movements abilities...... it over. He start waring you down and apply pressure. Definitely a complete Boxer and I'm looking forward for who next. Great job appreciated your insight.

Thanks again fam! I wish they all fought more often (aside from Canelo).
Excellent analysis sir.
Thanks fam
A bro these videos of yours are pure gold. Good work.
Much appreciated Fam!

BEAUTIFUL WORK BG...BEAUTIFUL! I loved it ALL! Thank You!
SMASHED and SUBSCRIBED!
Thanks fam! Welcome
It was the ending for me 😂😂 great job as usual 🔥🔥
Awesome detailed breakdown. Terence is the best boxer of this era.
You are by far the best boxing channel your attention to detail and those last stats man amazing I am a Crawford supporter we live in the same city…
I appreciate that fam 💪🏾
I've been saying Bud is the best boxer of this generation for years. If he really wanted to, he could get in the ring and completely shut you out while cruising to an easy win. One of the reasons I love watching him is because even though he has the skills to make it easy for himself, he's a warrior at heart and he wants to finish you. This round was a complete masterclass by Bud, and this video was a masterclass in technical breakdowns. Instead of trying to explain how great Bud is from now on I'm just sending people the link to your videos on him. Salute bro
Lmfao!!! My bro in law didn't wanna believe that clicking noise were punches during the fight 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great breakdown and great dj love the songs 💯
Thanks Isaiah!
i find it interesting, that bud often likes to resort to more of a loaded powerjab than a hook. Often with the setup of a "throwaway" cross
Swivel jab or the hook. That’s Crawford’s “signature” combination in the open stance. He does either a lot.

Hey curious what do u mean when u said he checks his "leverage"
U said in the pocket Crawford rocks his hips to check for leverage could u elaborate what leverage is cause I didn't understand the purpose n I don't wanna assume what it is n be wrong
Basically he checked where Porters weight was distributed.
@@BoxingGems what would you say it’s strong and weak points are
Negatives: on the surface it’s not inherently protecting anything. You need to be able to control distance very well and have great reflexes to even use it effectively for defense.
Positives: You’re throwing punches from an awkward angle. Up jabs,…back hand punches off the chest. Head movement is easier with the hands low…
Crawford is the real deal. I hope we see great fights being made with him soon. Cool video.
Yo $H!T is amazing. You on Teddy Atlas technical level!!! Appreciate all your hard work Bro!!!
I appreciate that fam! 💪🏾
Errol has skill and will! It is good night for Dud, I mean Bud.
You a beast bro...nice breakdown 🥊🔥
Thanks again fam!
You are Tactician in the art of 🥊🥊. Salute! Terence Crawford is a quiet monster.
Thanks fam
Been waiting on this
Love the track, Murga de Panama by Willie Colon.
Now I saw and understand the fight. Thank u.
Thanks for watching fam 💪🏾
Oh shit.... this is my new favorite channel. Right next to blue blood 💙 #salute
Excellent video. Excellent breakdown!!
Thanks fam
@@BoxingGems Thank you!!!
Peace God...yo I watched that fight twice but after seeing this breakdown I feel like I might need cataracts surgery....:(.....Incredible eye for details fam....I definitely learned a lot about the science from your content.....Respect....
Much appreciated fam 💪🏾
Your breakdowns different you need to be in the panel for sure good content 💯10/10 thanks for showing why bud p4p 💪🏽💪🏽
Much appreciated fam 💪🏾
It’s an honor to watch a master work
the fact that I scored round 6 for Porter during the heat of the fight got me rethinking my whole life right now
😂😂😂
lol
lol
Not everyone is that honest but I think there are 4 here who respect it 🤣🤣🤣
Bud is my favorite .
Much appreciated fam. Thanks for watching. 💪🏾

You put that in perspective!!!!! I just wish the haters can see how talented Crawford really is. I argue with Spence fans all time about Crawford being more skilled.
They know
In my Oprah voice..."You get a like! You get a like!!". Well done bruh
Great work bro🔥
Thanks fam 💪🏾
Excellent breakdown
Nothing like a good film study! It's like science got to have an eye for this shyt
Excellent content. keep cooking please.
