At least the TT finally looks super good. The older gens were hideous. Audi really outdid it with this one. I think its mostly how the rear sweeps down more gradually, and all the way to the end. The old ones just look like stretched beetles.
I own an audi tt 2013 and I test drove the New 2015 today and i was surprised at how much more road you can see looking straight at the dash rather than the old GPS on the Radio in the center of the car , so this was a nice surprise, I also thought the sound of the engine was much better. I got the voice command to work putting in the full address for GPS , very easy. The GPS voice is great , my only negative is the Radio, after scrolling you have to click , where as the older radio you just scroll to and it starts playing. The GPS turn ques are right on the SPEEDO separate from the center which works in both views BIG and Small that is the easy way of explaining it. The drive select engine was a blast you have several to choose depending on how agressive you want the engine to be, 5 choices with one custom. The sound of the Car changes with each Drive select. The GPS has a separate volume which is nice. The air vents each have a separate controller very tight design that works well. One other great feature I found is that you now have enough room for a small laptop to sit on the dash board with just the right amount of slant, very very cool feature I think , They also have USB and WIFI thu Att which is free for 6 months and than I think he said $15 a month after your free 6 months. a very useful feature for many including myself. Now the negative, no trunk release in the car, its now on the back of the trunk. strange as that may be. The new Bang Olsen speakers are a step up on the Bose but i am not sure as to why. The ride is a bit quiter than my TT , ohhhh this last thing I can say about the overall look is that on my Audi 2013 TT the side window looks like one long window from front to back which I just really liked that as it really set the look apart from other cars but on the NEW audi 2015 they changed the TRIM and now you see more clearly that it is two windows which is not as cool looking in my opinion. The Trunk is better as its just about 1 inch wider and offer USB and 12 volt buillt right into the floor and the felt in the back of the Audi is nicer than the Fleece that just collected lint way to easy in the old audi. What else ? I really like the Rear view camera but the the best feature is the Amber Lights that come on the side view mirriors when a car in your blind spot very nice feature. When I parked my car next to the new Audi I could that the old car had more curves than the new one making it look less aggressive when next to the New Audii. I fell in love with Audi TT for its look and function , that hatch on the back has never let me down no matter what I carried. From Ikea furniture, to bikes to 4 new computers 7 ft electronics blinds for my sun deck , my surf boad all while traveling in a uniqe style, and the other reason which sets it apart is the the all wheel drive is fantastic in the snow with all season tires , not the summer tires. One last surprise that i got is when you click the button to turn off the engine after you open the door, you Hear this THUMP THUMP THUMP which is the Audi heartbeat , very very cool. Audi has tried like hell to capture the TT essense and bring it up to speed so I am having my built to order and did I mention that the seat belt reminder onlys stays on for a very short time and than its GONE smile emoticon
I had a DSG box in my GTI but I really wasn't a fan, I felt it took away a chuck of the driving experience. Impressive figures that ABT have pulled from the 2.0T though!

Seems to make more sense to just buy the TTS and get four wheel drive. Unless this is the Quattro version too? But then all those additions would surely make it more expensive than the TTS for very little gain- more torque and a bit of unique styling.
am i the only one who has noticed the s/w has been reconfigured to a more manual gearbox change character? - Seems they have dialed back the engine output during shifts - so, no immature burp and power ramps down then up during (slower?) shift sounding more 'Manual' than DSG - suits the more mature driver ;)
im surprised there hasn't been much in the way of exterior parts for this car yet - maybe too early but haven't seen anything from the likes of Oettinger or OSIR yet. Maybe some stuff is in development...
Any info on when the disc brakes are replaced.. 35-45 thousand k? And I was told on my TT test drive that the heart beat can be turned down or disabled in the car settings...
Can't wait for the new TT RS with 420 horse power and 0-100 Km/h in just 3,7 seconds. But i r´would really like to know how much it will cost... The TTs costs 57.000€ so i guess the TT RS may cost around 65-70.000 and that is way too much for a TT because you can get more luxury cars with that amount of money
4:52 don't know what it is, whether it's the audio, the exhaust or the engine map but the gear shifts seem to drop the rpm a little too low. it even sounds like a CVT at 5:01 (i know it isn't :) )
altern8ive If it's using the same DSG gearbox which is in the MK2 TT, then the gearbox will change gear on how hard your pressing the accelerator when you change gear. The gear change will change to a lower RPM to match how much acceleration you're giving the car. It's a cool system and gives you a lot more control.
As far as the annoying Audi heartbeat noise at the end of the video, you can actually lower and maybe even mute the sound entirely from the virtual cockpit settings
Dude you forgot to mention where the extra power came from. I guess it isnt just the exhaust system is it mate??? You ve made some nice reviews but this one was just bad
fabinho not quite, it's a tuning house/shop something like Alpina or AC Schnitzer would be for BMW, maybe Brabus for Mercdes? but as far as i know ABT is dedicated to Audi, Quattro(Sport) is what AMG is to Mercedes
You always see BMW and Audi fan boys going back and forth as to who is best. I concede that BMW win on performance on a like for like basis. But it appears to me that Audi build in a huge tolerance cushion and have a lot more room for tweaking their engines. Can anyone confirm this is the case?

You actually can tune the volume of the "shut down sound" or turn it completely off in the sound settings. It's just a bit hard to find...
Yes! You can turn down the audio or switch off the Audi "heartbeat" when you exit the car.
