- Introduction and test drive in the new ABT Sportsline TTS based on the latest TT model from Audi. Power is increased from 310 to 370PS, it wears a number of visual modifications, a new exhaust system and is really good fun to drive!

Audi did a great job on the new TT. It no longet looks like a girly toy car.
+Fofus I dunno, it definitely looks LESS like a girly toy car... but from some angles you can still see it there... on the whole though it's way better than the old one.

The new TTS looks great in black, it actually has a pretty aggressive look now.
I just love how Tim demonstrates the keyless feature in most of his videos. Cant be misunderstood😉.

For people who are wondering "What is PS?" it's German for horsepower. PS is more of a "metric" horsepower,a little bit different than our horsepower.
370 ps = 370 pk = 370 hp

Yeah because its basically the unit of Horsepower and i know metric is slightly out but it makes no sense to have ps and HP that are pretty much the same

Tim, did this have the lane assist? I had a 2.0 as a rental in the Eifel/Nuerburgring area a few weeks ago and I thought it was a blast, but the lane assist making the wheel all heavy while cruising drove me nuts.

W-James it's definitely a personal preference, i own a 2009 TT and don't find it "girly" at all and know a lot of men who own TT's and if we are getting into seeing a lot of girls drive them iv seen way more girls drive "manly" mustangs and comaro's than I have Audi TT's of any model

What camera/microphone do you use to film yourself in the car? The sound is very good.

Sounds great inside, sounds quieter outside sadly, Looks beastly at some points outside, still very girly and soft on other points on the outside. Fairly smart inside, although I don't really like black leather on nice cars.
If it shifts up regardless on the red line then it's not a manual, a limiter on or above the line would be preferable.
Also there was a definite whiff of Saabkyle at the start of this video unfortunately.
Still a great piece though, keep it Shmee.

Great looking car except for the Halfords wing mirrors, It's biggest problem would be the imminent TTRS that has a genuine 5 cylinder sound (not one coming from the speakers...)

DSG7 on MK3 facelift version makes the car even better
400hp is more than enough to have fun, a golf gti or fiesta st is fun at around 210bhp

To convert PS (Metric Horsepower) to HP (imperial/mechanical ) you just divide the PS by 1.01387.

+Owen Pugh newton metre (Nm) is the measurement unit of torque. maybe you know ft/lb ?
100 ft lb are 135 Nm

I used to dislike the new TT, but I saw one in dark blue cruising in London and I changed my mind.. What a beautiful car! Anyway, what you said about VW group cars are great, I think now you can say "Most of them". After their scandal with emission software, a lot of people, including myself will think multiple times before buying a VW group cars.

I want the regular TT and put a nice apr stage 2 and call it a day
RedButton Entertainment™ i own an 09 mk2 TT with 4 cylinder engine, stage 2 tune is a little much for the stock ko3 turbo but if you were to upgrade to a ko4 then should work fine, mine is also FWD so the added power does cause a little more wheel spin than what I like but the car it self is still very good and in my honest opinion far from "girly"

The TTS is still odd to me, it's just a less practical Golf R that costs a lot more. I get that it's got it's own interior and exterior style but it doesn't seem like enough idk.
+Mind Control Media I hear you, its Audi so you are paying a lot for name. The golf R is an incredible value, but at the end of the day its a Golf and to some people thats more than enough to get them to pay the premium for a S3 or this TTS.

It's German for Horsepower
Horsepower and PS are not the same though. Pretty close, but not the same.

Looks like a r8 on a diet. But I actually like it. Although only the ABT version. The regular TTs or TT doesn't appeal to me.

if only there was a manual option without some of the driver assists like the auto shifter on the redline should be an option not a feature

You can either get one of these, or for an extra 10k, you can get a used 2008-2009 audi r8... You decide what is the better choice

+Mr_Pooba It's about finance. New car finance is cheap, buying an R8 you'll have to buy it outright or pay crazy high interest rates.

+Pej 2017 it "may" arrive in the US but is confirmed for Europe. It only comes with the DSG. That's why I bought a 2012 instead. Poor Audi, no more manual :(

300 is enough for a lot of fun. Look at BMW M235i or Porsche Cayman S.

+ED kratos Indeed. It's actually quite patronising from Tim suggesting that 400 odd bhp is just a bit of fun when for most normal folks who don't have his kind of funds that is a hugely powerful and very quick car that can get you into seriously high speeds in no time at all.
zooboyjoe he doesent appreciate it sinds hes used to driving his dads expensive cars his first car prolly had over 400 hp, for uss normal people every PS matters and 400 hp is more then enough for me to rek Tim any time at the nurburgring vs his mclaren.

It is the power required to lift 75kg 1 meter in 1 second in 1G.
1ps = 1hp * 0.986 (approx)
They really should do away with both PS and HP though, as KW makes far more sense.
