Thanks for sharing this wonderful recital. I never heard this recital before. AdL was an amazing pianist. She played works nobody else did. Still miss her on the concert stages of this world.🎹🙏💐
A marvelous recital by one of the greatest pianists in one her best, but by far only, repertoire, the treasure of Spanish piano music. Here I write for you the times and details of each Piece: Alicia de Larrocha. Recital. Program: Antonio Soler (1729-1783) 00:22 Sonata in g minor nr. 87 06:29 Sonata in D-flat Major nr. 88 Manuel de Falla (1876-1946) 11:38 ”Dance og the Neighbors” (Seguidillas) from ”The Three Cornered Hat” 14:56 ”The Miller’s Dance” (Farruca) from ”The Three Cornered Hat” Isaac Albéniz (1860-1909) 17:59 ”Evocación” nr. 1 from the suite ”Iberia”, 1. Volume 23:27 ”Triana” nr. 3 from the suite ”Iberia”, 2. Volume
I have truly fallen in love with Soler thanks to her very old dear recording of many of the 80 orso he wrote . Along, with his teacher Scarlatti the music has so much character it deserves never to be forgotten .
Such grace. Such elan. Here you have a genius. Pure and simple. Every touch weighted to perfection. I know Madame Larrocha believed, as Horowitz said, that ‘music was to be listened to, not watched’. But this is a priceless document to one of the world’s greatest artists. This is her selfless legacy to us. Bravo!
Qué belleza de música y qué artista. Alicia de Larrocha seguramente tocaba mejor Triana que como la tocó o imaginaba el propio Albéniz. Esta versión es insuperable 3:30
A program would be nice! I recognize Scarlatti as the 1st 2 pieces? the fist 11:30 minutes of the program! Soler, (de) Falla, and Albeniz doesn't quite cover it...what's more did someone decide to play with the speeds, all of a sudden she's going crazy fast as if someone put the recording in high gear...really spoils the whole thing!

3:30
Quise decir 23:30
Pretty sure the 3rd work is Falla. The Night Dance from Three Cornered Hat. Sombrero de Trez Picos.
16:39 sounds like guitar haha, such phrasing
It is a pity that the image is not synchronized with the sound
choose "settings" select 1.5 below "normal".
It's close though.
Would have been much better uploaded in at least 480p.
@@mikekarren5010 No, that would be too fast. Would'nt be the real tempo she is playing...
