  • Clee Burf (510m) is the lower peak of the two hills that make up the Brown Clee Hill with the taller peak being Abdon Burf (540m). It's the 5th highest hill in Shropshire, and I recommend the approach from Cockshutford, Clee St. Margaret, SY7 9DY. The lower section is Clee Liberty Common. There is an impressive iron age hillfort to explore, called Nordy Bank, as well as disused mines that used to extract coal (notice the collapsed bell pits). The highest point is just past the single aerial mast. Enjoy the walk!
