No she lied. As a virgin he wanted a virgin and that was his right. She should have found someone who was okay with not being with one. He's angry due to the lie and he might end up getting divorced which he didn't want. Just like hiding a child or other things your partner should know. He said she lied about her name too, she has issues so he'd be a fool to stay with her and have children. She just lied and did she not sleep with him for 5 years? Yes Alex did the right thing. If you don’t have trust than you don’t have anything worth staying together for, he will find himself always questioning what else is she lying about, what other secrets is she hiding.
That's a tough pill to swallow. Trust is everything, and when a relationship is based upon lies... it destroys the fabric of the relationship. I don't know if he made the right decision, but, if he can't see beyond her lies and forgive her, then divorce is the right choice.

I don't think that was roots for a divorce but I also feel like he's entitled to being upset and disappointed. She should have came clean about her name and being sexually active before getting more serious with him and before getting married.
Same thing he was speaking about trust. He had mess up in the past. But he couldn't think about his muss up past with her. He was wrong leaving her. Grounds for divorced: Lies ...not a good foundation to start a marriage. The one unfaithful in Little things, like their name, will be unfaithful in other things.
This is not a thing that you go to divorce.. a lie in the beginning that we dont know eachj other and all the reactions is much easier to forgive.....
