I can personally attest that this is exactly how every little boy sees those battles.
Exactly how I was envisioning it in my sand box as a kid.
that's what I was thinking too
...And US Neo-Con politicians!
Agreed!
I never imagined those M16 rifles fired that fast and with a “pop-pop” sound, nor the muzzle flashes. Because I didn’t know. They didn’t sound like that in the movies on TV in the 70s. The green guys always won, though. 🙂
Showed this to my Grandson and told him that THIS is the way to play ... three hours later after a trip to the toy store, we're out building fortresses for the battle that will soon commence. Thanks for bringing back some memories to this old dog.
@user-kr4rz5hn4n I bet you'll help him get a sex change at 11 years old though, won't you?
God forbid a boy should grow into a strong man.
@user-kr4rz5hn4n Why?
@user-kr4rz5hn4n no one asked
Thats lame @user-kr4rz5hn4n
@user-kr4rz5hn4n why not?
A minute of silence for the great green army men that made the ultimate sacrifice to attain this glorious victory.
Better than anything hollywood has put out in the last five years.
True !
Approve.🙂
Had my popcorn, on the edge of my seat!
I laughed, I cried, it became a part of me!
THIS HAS TO BE A TROLL THERE IS NO WAY YOU GUYS ACTUALLY BELIEVE THIS PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS BS
Id be on the floor playing while my dad watched TV. He'd see his son just playing with army men meanwhile the most horrific acts imaginable were playing out in my mind. The 80s ruled
Good ol times!
@@MrMtz-mr8xx thanks bro
Literally what I imagined as a little boy playing with my soldiers. Me and my dad always building bases together . This video gave me a tear of nostalgia thank you
In the history books, this was known as "Operation Litterbox" . Great job with the animation. Keep making them!
I still have all my army men and equipment from the 70's. Still play with them today with my kids and grandkids. My favorite toys when I was younger. Thanks for the great memories
Grrrrr. The 5-gallon buckets of them I had “disappeared” years ago.
The old Marx 54MM plastic soldiers of all eras of History will always be the best molded. Marx Playsets were awesome. I had most of them as a kid and my favorite were the Marx Civil War sets. Loved The Blue And The Grey. All original are vintage now, hard to find and valuable. I must have gotten 5 Marx Fort Apache Playsets.
What is not generally known is that after practically wiping each other out in battle, survivors of the two opposing armies had to sign a truce and join forces to battle the invasion of giant hand-grenade sized ants, the beginnings of which can be briefly spotted in a scene.
AND HUGE TIRE TRACKS 😂
I wouldn’t take a chance to come back now as a kid versus growing up in 70’s-80’s. We actually needed imagination to grow up back then! These army men gave us hours of fun! And the lady finger firecrackers we went thru! Geez! You know, young, under 9, playing with a lighter and firecrackers! Ohh the memories! I think we were definitely smarter, and safer!
Este hombre hizo todo lo que yo quería hacer de pequeño qué hermoso es recordar mi infancia
I like how the guys with flamethrowers were shooting them like machine guns.
I didn't like that!
beat me to it.
The special effects are really good. The muzzle flashes and bullet casings falling from the weapons are top notch. And yes, This is EXACTLY how I imagined the battles when I was playing with my Army men back in the '70's.
They needed air support!
This guy just captured about a million kids minds as playing with these army men lol
Nice job. I love the casings coming off the BAR. Fun to watch.
I'm thankful for my GI Joes and the hundreds of Army soldiers that provided so many hours of fun as a children Florida. One note: Some of the soldiers that were firing submachine guns actually looked like the soldiers that were carrying flame throwers.
Because they were but because of the environment and stuff they'd be useless as a flame thrower
Its crazy how I never watched a war movie as a kid... but knew how to play war with these toy soldiers.
Makes you wonder about reincarnation, doesn't it ?
We are designed to hurt each other. It's inherit and built into each and everyone of us.
A GLORIOUS CAMPAIGN! They gave their limbs and lives so my toys wouldn't have to. An animated parade should be just compensation.
I love how the flamethrower guy is shooting bullets.
I know right? lmao
He probably ran out of the fire stuff, so he attached a gun to his flamethrower
I’m 26 and I dream of doing this type of stuff so much, I even buy toy cars when I get an idea for something like this
Love this video
Just do it! Don’t wait. Maybe a toy car adventure channel!
RIP to the Green homies who forgot about cover and maintaining spacing 🫡
What many dont know is that this dispute happened at a diplomatic dinner. They were meeting to discuss trade between the 2 cultures but had an argument on how the one nation’s name was spelt. Is it Gray or Grey? So many lives lost over a simple vowel.
Pretty cool. I like when the empty shell casings are ejecting from the LMG.
We had hundreds of plastic Army men. American, British, French, Russian, Japanese, German! Jeeps, halftracks, tanks! And they all fought on the same battlefield!
Airfix & Minitanks? My friends & I had a few hundred of these HO figures, with tanks, cannon, etc. We built an 8 x 4 foot sand table. Trenches, bunkers, hills, roads, lichen trees, etc. Miwed a lot if lawns to pay for it!
Seriously….you had French? Nobody had French.
@@InterviewInterrogations Back in the late 60s Airfix did 1:76 [OO/HO scale] French WW1 infantry.... in fact they were still available a couple of years ago!
I remember watching these kinds of videos back in 2016 and being so hypnotized by how awesome all of it looked lol. Awesome job, man!
It's silly but absolutely brilliant. Love it.
I am 59 years this is one of the best things I saw lately
War is Hell. Flashbacks to the late 70s for me. Brilliant!!
First timer. . Amazingly realistic. I did get a bit confused with some parts of the battle. My heart goes out to the families of the dead. Such a waste of plastic. War is hell. Reminds me of my time in NAM with the 3rd marines. Great job . Keep up the good work.
I loved the real ant around 4:30 mark. I thought for sure they were being ambushed!! Thank you for doing this, very entertaining.
I'm still trying to figure out how the stop motion was worked for the ant in that scene. 😉
@@Doc_TarI guess with a pair of tweezers.
This is exactly the way it was when I played with these guys as a kid... the horror, the horror....
My army men werent that nice back in the 1970's
They sure were fun.
The Greens and Tans have always been at war for centuries, and the Greens always won
Back in the 60's this would have been on TV. Fairly Good.
2:24 Sarge with the ammo belt better watch out for the Marabunta ants crawling toward him.
Very nicely done, beautiful animations...and fantastic binoculars!
Absolutely fantastic, I was taken back 70 years to when I played with my green soldiers I the back garden. Very happy memories. I still play with a new generation of toy soldiers 1:18 scale. Thank you for posting this excellent video. 8:03
The classic battle between green vs grey armies (American vs German). Excellent production!
I’m 65 and boy does this bring back some memories.
Years ago I used to make 10 minute stop motion shorts. Back then it was done on video tape and took forever to finish a 10-minute film. I've watched several of your short films and they are good enough for animated short film awards. 🎥
Great job. I do like how the flame throwers were used as machine gunners.
So much time and effort. Really cool!
That's about how my Plastic Army men moved. Great memories.
Best movie i have seen in years.
This is a Master Class in cinema, equal to Saving Private Ryan.
Well done! ...I can remember playing with army men when I was a kid in the 50's!..I always thought it would be fun to make a movie
like yours, but could never afford a movie camera...Finally got a camera when I was in college and a buddy and I made a similar
movie with plastic cowboys and indians ...it took forever! ...Now it's easy...You can even video with a cell phone! ....Keep up the good
work!....I know Spielberg got his start doing the same kind of stuff! ...Just sayin'!
After an explosion, I was hoping to hear a voice say "My leg!". You know, a good SpongeBob reference. War is hell...
Awesome battle. Brings back memories as a 12 yo kid with green army men and a BB gun.
I’d be lying if I said it’s been years since I’ve played with my army men. 😂 But this!! This is how I imagined it EVERY time. Boss!!!
Cool idea, but green vs grey? Nearly all of them looked green to me, hard to tell which side was which. Impressive stop motion regardless.
Memories of days like this is what made Army Men one of my favorite video games. Thanks from me.
Thank you for the video. It was a real pleasure to watch.I remember playing with these guys when I was a kid. I'm 71 now.
That was so awesome! My little brother and I used to play for hours with these when we were kids. We incorporated small fireworks, smoke bombs, and lots of firecrackers and blow up all sorts of model tanks and plans! Thank you for this movie!
Wonderful. Happy Days Memories.
Remember those hours-long setups ? ... Half a day setting up, and about a 10 min battle, and it was all over.
I had army men as a kid, with tanks, howitzers and trucks too. Hours of fun especially outside in my moms garden.
I had a bottle of red ink for blood and using toilet tissue as bandages would replicate various blood oozing wounds too. 😃
Still a better love story than Twilight.
Tell me a story that isn't.
Oscar goes to the fifth green soldier entering from right. Applauds, well done.
I thought I was having a bad day…and then I watched this video lol. Absolutely outstanding
Nice work and entertaining. This reminds me of my plastic army men days where I set up battles. During the winter I set up the army in the snow bank. Because of the cold temps the BB gun I used would remove various limbs and heads. Before the BB gun days was the sling shot with 3/4 " stones from the driveway.
Great video- love the close up of the army men in the back of the lorry-a great looking touch ❤🤩🤩
I liked how the lookout with the binoculars turned around to get a serious close up look at the other soldier.
I was apart of this war when i was 5 back in the 80s... the horror....the horror..
I miss being a kid in the 80s
I love how the machine gunner has spent shells raining down. Nice detail.
We used to play in an alluvial area, near a small stream. The higher banks were sandy clay and were great for digging tunnels and building forts. Usually we threw dirt clods at each other's forts. But sometimes we had firecrackers!
This. Is. BRILLIANT.
There's a spy amongst the green! A grey flamethrower dude!
There was always a battle on the 4th of July , I lost ALOT of little men, love these animated videos
I can't be the one that misses Army Men: Sarges Heros.
Wow. They even sound like real trucks.
Wow, cool muss playing with soldiers . I can't believe my son plays with soldiers in 2022
Great use of natural landscape.
i remember playing with these when i was young, such good memories but now im 17 xD
This was the coolest stopmotion video!!!👍 ❤ Toy story all over again?
It was 1977 or 78 and I was 10 years old, I got a big box called "Battleground" best Christmas ever.
Sarge, behind you! Look at the size of that ant!
Actually quite good in 2x mode/speed
It's sad that they have to fight and die, deep down they're all plastic, good plastic men thru and thru.
Awesome
You can see the paper from the black cats lol
This brings me back to my kid days. My brothers and I had our private armies and will fight it out for hours. The good old days were imagination ruled.
Sixty years ago, I had buckets of the little plastic soldiers. For 69 cents I could get a bag of 100. I could spend all day building battlefields, and never touch an electronic device. 😂
Using the firecracker was a great decision for explosions! I just taken back in time watching this to my childhood!
Wow❤ is done chinnel army😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
You need better grammar kid.
@@user-fu9fk3kg8g😅
Some historical inaccuricies... The use of tactical hoverboards, bazookas against infantry, flame throwers that shoot bullets and, yes, mice-sized ants. Otherwise, a compelling watch!
That took a great deal of time and effort. Well done.
Well done! Thank you for sharing.
Amazing stop motion
lies
if i had this channel growing up this is all id ever need. even the same sounds i say in my head when i was a kid
Saving Plastic Ryan
Awesome
Man, what a glorious battle.
Pretty cool! Can’t imagine the time it took to make!
considering how lazy it looks 2 days probably
These are the kinds of battles I would do with my Legos back in the early 2000s and 2010s even now my imagination never left me I still have fun making random battles even though I'm in my 20s
Reminds me of the Army Men computer games from the 90s. They took playing with army men to the next level without the need to clean up afterwards.
Flame throwers shooting lead!
Cool vid.
The best is the flamethrower men firing bullets... LOL....
This was awesome, great work and story telling
I felt like predator was about to start taking soldiers out one by one , that background music lol
Absolute masterpiece 😌
Thanks
Brings back memories.
