@@EchoSaintEco Steve as a character isn't fun to play against. His gameplan is mainly walling out opponents until he gets diamond tools and then he starts getting in and busting the opponent up. He is quite the unbalanced fellow.
It's just some braindead, heartless individuals believe that it is okay to showcase utterly unwarranted hostility towards his main players because they do well, which is frankly unacceptable.

Both characters are usually boring, but when fighting each other, it feels not only balanced, but surprisingly satisfying.
It's like people have been forcing you to mix jam with everything, but suddenly someone suggests peanut butter with jam, and it's amazing.

I dont think many people know that Luigi can get huge amount of damage just by hitting an opponent and not just by grab. its not as consistent as grab, but you will still get mileage off of just hitting someone.

People act like luigi is lame because of the grab to zero to death, which, fair. But that second one tho? That was 100% on the fly creativity, and that is amazing to see. Luigi is a character with phenomenal base mechanics and tools, and while you CAN choose to only use them in the exact same boring way, you can easily change it up on the fly, and create brand new ways to use them to get an advantage. Its honestly good character design.
Steve, however, all of his base mechanics are cheese at its core, steve is not a good character design. Not the worst, but inherently cheesy at his core playstyle.
Steve deserves his hate, luigi does not. But both characters are still better than Sonic, and i think that is something we can all agree on.
