Drugs are still illegal in the Netherlands only tolerated by the government. Normally, possession of both hard drugs and soft drugs for personal use is not detected and prosecuted. An amount of use means: less than 5 grams for soft drugs (hash or weed) and a maximum of half a gram for hard drugs (cocaine, speed, etc.), 1 XTC pill and less than 5 ml GHB.
lol, that blurring of the map is not really usefull on that scale.Everybody with a bit of geographical knowledge of the Netherlands knows what town he lives in. So if you wanted to avoid that... didn't really help. Next time... rent a bike... so much better than the luggage rack. For both driver and passenger. Weed: This is partially wrong information. Despite popular believe weed is not nor has it ever been "Legal" in the Netherlands. There is a non enforcement policy in place, it is NOT legal. Do NOT come to the Netherlands with the idea it is legal... it can bring you into heaps of trouble.
Well I don’t see any problem about finding the town he lives (Ede) but I covered with the blur the exact street and number of the house that Google maps was showing… we was supposed to travel with two bikes but because one it was stolen the night before for ‘emergency’ we used one in two.. the fact about the legality of weed isn’t completely false.. I mean I bought weed in a shop while I was there.. you can’t do this in Italy.. the personal use in Italy is allowed under 1,5g in the Netherlands it’s about 5g.. it’s not completely legal but there is some tolerance about it. I just reported what a local friend knows about the topic if you want to argue here you are free to do it.
@@tiaoffthewall Nah man, just making sure people don't come to the country with false expectations. I have been a pothead for over 35 years and have seen enough people fall into that trap. Didn't realise the map would show an exact adress, never have that myself. Obviously you want to blur that, it just seemed a bit odd lol. Sucks that the bike got stolen but yeah... that is also the Netherlands. I got more bikes stolen from me than that I bought Wait... forget I said that last thing....

I am a bit late to respond but I would like to answer too. The map blurr was totally fine, I didn't even think of it and the location of my home is no big deal. Even though the Netherlands is small it would be hard to find my house among the tens of thousands in the blurred area😉. And yeah like Mattia said, my bike got stolen the night before so we had to go with this. And about the weed, I tried to describe the (complicated) situation as correct as possible. But I indeed didnt say anything about the allowed 5 grams. But I hope and also feel like rest was correct. I am the Dutch guy in the video btw😀
