hi we have the conversion done now and would like to check with you on your clearances, of the wheel rim edge to the swing arm shock absorber support tube , we have a measurement we have a measurement of 26.5mm, what do you have?
Also what size rear tyre did you fit to the wheel.?
also i like the work you have done, on this project. regards Roy.

The rear wheel is 150/70 ZR17. I don't know the clearance. I sold the bike more than a year ago... I think in some video's I do show the clearance.

Hi, i am about to start and make a conversion for a customer, using your method. did you finally fix the centralisation of the wheel?
This is some thing i will also look at when i do the job, and how did your calliper adaptor work out?
    Regards
I like the video you did, and under stood you as you explain the adaptation of the parts.
    regards
    Roy Thersby

I'm NOT intending to spam here, but I put a VMax rim on my Xv1100, pretty much 'Bolt-On' (same swingarms), but did need Minor spacer changes to help align the Now - Disc brake rear.
WARNING - The previous owner went the machining route, but only resulted in a cracked wheel bearing housing (whilst I was riding of course :( ).
I then fixed it the Right Way...Adjusting spacers, not the rim. (ALL on video)
Front end on mine is VMax too. 40mm forks rather than the standard 38mm.
TFS Chief. Keep those wrenches turning & RSOT >:)

The XV1100 hasn't got 'non aligned' wheels. That makes things a lot easier. If I would have used the duo shock 750 Virago, I could have bold on the Diversion/XJ 900 rear wheel aswell. I guess one of the reasons the monoshock Virago is so populair for custom builders is that it takes a lot of efforts to make it special... Sometimes I regret I choose this one to rebuild...!

Actually yours is a chain yeah? Makes sense with the different spacer issues.
Keep going, DON'T give up now, I would LOVE to see it done...
If your feeling down about it, send me a msg, I'll read some coaching books if I have to...Get you back on track >:D

Hello there, I'm working on the second phase of my cafe racer XV 750. I had a xj 900 diversion wheel, and want to try the conversion as well.
    Do you removed the dampers?
