Intarsia is supposedly having a comeback this year. Makes sense, since I made my daughter a baby sweater with an intarsia heart 21 years ago, and the fashion cycle is about 20 years. I found it much easier than stranded colourwork, since there are no tension issues with floats. I recently finished a hood for myself (the Bonbec), and now my eldest son wants one too, but with “some patterning”, as he says. So I’m working on another Bonbec, but added an improvised band of mosaic colourwork (easier than stranded). Doesn’t look too bad. I’ll post them on my Ravelry when I finish the second one.
