    Nice video! But May I request you to kindly come out with a video which describes about how a naïve person can record a video, create thumbnail, edit the video very professionally in clipchamp and upload the same on you-tube. The whole process needs to be explained in sequence so that a common person can do so with ease.

    Hello. I am very new to video editing. A couple of questions. First- are you using a paid version of clipchamp? I don't have all the tools on the left that you seem to have. Second- I am trying to add bookmarks to a video so I can tab from one section of the video to another. Help says to go to the "playback tab" and choose "bookmark." I've searched all over to find a playback tab and can't. I've googled it, gone to Microsoft help and communities. I can't find anyone to tell me. I guess it's too simple a thing but can you help me? Thanks.

    • @SaadJeeTabassam
      @SaadJeeTabassam  8 месяцев назад

      Hi Maureen, I'm not using a paid version. Actually, Clipchamp has moved the content(images, music, videos etc.) categories under a single tab called "Content Library" now. It's the same thing. I have talked about that in the 3rd part(How to customize templates in clipchamp) of this course. You can find links to other parts in the description. There is no option to add bookmarks in Clipchamp at the moment, hope they will add this feature in the upcoming updates. As an alternate, you can use SHIFT + ARROW KEYS to quickly move on the timeline or you can note down the timestamps of key points you want to return to or focus on during editing. You can also use the shortcuts to speedup your workflow. I've talked about shortcuts in the next part at 5:14 timestamp. Good luck for your video editing journey!

    Can we fade the audio on the media files we upload? When a transition from one file to another, the audio needs to be adjusted to blend in better.

    • @SaadJeeTabassam
      @SaadJeeTabassam  11 месяцев назад +1

      That's a good question. I'm not sure what end result you want to achieve but I would suggest you to detach the audio from the media file.
      Right-click on the media file, go to audio and then select detach.
      Once you have both the audio as separate layers, you will have more control to edit and blend them together.

    Second beginning Clipchamp video I watch and this one also did not answer the basic question I have which is how to cut out and delete 12 seconds in the middle of a 1 minute video I have on my timeline. This seems like it would be easily addressed but it is not.

    • @SaadJeeTabassam
      @SaadJeeTabassam  9 месяцев назад

      It seems like you haven't watched the complete tutorial. Watch the video at 16:32 (How to split a clip)
      To delete a 12 seconds portion from your 1 minute video: select the layer, make the first split from where you want to delete the video then move the playhead 12 seconds ahead. Make another split then select the middle(splited) part of the layer and press the "Delete" key.
      I have addressed the complete software in three parts of this free Clipchamp course. Enjoy!

    • @Kabul6-e1r
      @Kabul6-e1r 9 месяцев назад

      @@SaadJeeTabassam yes so it seems if only "select the layer, make the first split" "move the playhead" meant something to me. I googled various terms like "Clipchamp playhead" to see it highlighted on a page or pointed out so I'd know what is. If we don't have a common language we can't communicate and using words that have no meaning to me makes for noncommunication.

    • @SaadJeeTabassam
      @SaadJeeTabassam  9 месяцев назад

      @@Kabul6-e1r Every particular field has it's own vocabulary. If you use any video editing software, the terminology will be the same and that's why it's necessary to use the necessary vocabulary so people can know which tool/feature is being discussed.
      If you watch the video at 8:36 I have clearly addressed "This area is called the timeline and this is the playhead that indicates the current position of a clip."
      I also showed the use of playhead at 10:51 with this voiceover "Now if I place my playhead at 3 seconds and click on 'Add to timeline' It will add the clip exactly at 3 seconds. If I delete it, move the playhead at 1 second and click on this plus icon."
      Also at 12:11 with this voiceover "I'll drag this clip to the right on the timeline and move my playhead to find a spot where both of these clips can blend in better."
      You can watch the video again with subtitles or transcript if necessary. You can find the "Show Transcript" button below the video description and also search terms in transcript. Hope that helps.

    Hi. Trying to copy some of your stuff. At 11:22 you bring in the 2nd video with changing colors for a background. It is bright blue, orange, purple and there are about 7 segments in the timeline above your video. After you place it below, it appears to break into many more tiny purple segments in the new timeline. Did you do anything to it that broke it up into smaller segments? As a background behind your video when viewing the colors don't seem to match the ones in the timeline. I can't duplicate that effect as you do. Thanks in advance,

    • @SaadJeeTabassam
      @SaadJeeTabassam  Месяц назад

      When I move the 2nd video to bottom at 11:22, the segments you're talking about are created automatically and these are basically not segments or pieces but instead Clipchamp is trying to give you a quick reference of what is happening in your imported video so You can go to a certain point in the video quickly. For example: You have a 10 sec video which contains a plain color of Green, after each second the video changes it's color so there are 10 different background colors which are transitioning each second. If you import this video then Clipchamp will show maybe 10 or more frames(or segments as you say) and each segment will consist of a different color so If you want to start the video from purple color which is at 5 seconds so instead of watching the whole 10 seconds video, you can quickly see the frame segments in the video and move the playhead to that point and start editing quickly. Hope that helps...

      Wow. Thx for all of that. I know what the timeline does but when I you hovered over the sample on the left bar I didn't see any of the purple.
