Stiller was putting out nothing but quality, Sandler was funny, Seth Rogen and his gang were starting out, Will Ferrell was on a roll and Rickey Gervais too. Even Jackie Chan was part of that too! A great decade for comedy
One difference between then (2004) and now is that celebrities were put on the back foot by political questions. Now it’s virtually the standard fare of interviews.
i live in Oklahoma, i have a coworker that grew up on a farm. he seriously has this whole aww shucks country boy thing and he absolutely is a girl magnet with that whole thing. also "Every Which Way But Loose" is a masterpiece.
They joke here about the monotony and repetitious nature of press tours, and I think those haven't gotten better in the 17 years since (with the amount of online outlets at these junkets, I imagine they've even gotten worse).

Stiller and Wilson both attended private schools. Wilson was directly military. They are asked to play the everyman likable persona, but actually watch out for the subtle right-wing racist, anti-animal digs these two make on screen and off. If we saw their real personality we would not enjoy their work. It's an illusion. However, I believe, they as people, don't wish to be 'dark'. They should follow TL and be like he is. Kind to animals and accepting of all living beings. It is the only way to avoid satanic retribution and also to feel good about your life. I hope these two, and all A list celebrities, are able to be TL.
