Flagship? The Cinema 30 is their flagship. I just bought both. The 70s is in my bedroom on a 5.0, and it is fantastic! It is a little pricey for what it is, but if you need a slim, it is worth it. If not, get the 60. The Cinema 30, on the other hand, is in my HT and is just unbelievable. The 30 puts a lot of pre/pros to shame (like my AV7705). I absolutely love the new Cinema line. I urge anyone looking to pick one up.
@@Supercar_Street_Racing Entry level for the brand, yes. Marantz products start at an RRP of €/$1000, and the higher the number the lower it is positioned. Ie AV10& AMP10> Cinema 30 > Cinema 50 > CInema 70s. Same with the AMP / Model series. 70s is great though. It's a pretty sweet package.
I got the cinema 70s about 5months ago, I was worried it would not be enough power for my q acoustics speakers but as they are 4ohms I set the receiver to 4ohms and the sound at low and higher volume is fantastic overall I’m a happy bunny, nice video.
If you haven't replaced your Yamaha yet now is a good time. The Cinema 60 is on sale for a couple hundred more than the 70's regular price. I just ordered the 60 and came here for insight and what to expect when it arrives. Great review. And I agree with you on some of the suspect Amazon reviews. Some apparently leave bad reviews because they failed to follow instructions.
I love both of mine. Only have one issue. Sometimes the one connected to my firetv in the Livingroom goes silent when it powers on. I suspect it's the TV not the receiver. If I power the TV off and back on the sound comes back over HDMI ARC.
I bought mine a few months ago. Well worth spent. If you stream music via Spotify or tidal it will automatically play in stereo and the album showed on screen (on tv) thus no need for a display on the unit. The sound is fantastic so long as you have a quality source and speakers to pair it with. I'm using towers and the 70s' 50 watts is more than enough to shake my apartment
@AHash5745 Awesome! I do have a problem with my firetv. Sometimes the audio stops working on arc. But if I reboot the tv it works again. That's after Ive not used it for a few hours.

Yeah I corrected that in the title.
This is the entry level from the Marantz Cinema range so it is far from being the flagship model. Looks like a great reciever tho enjoy :)
Entry level in Cinema. Not entry level for the whole company, correct?
@@Supercar_Street_Racing i think they only have this line for AVR's

Yeah it's plenty of power
I tried some dm70s on it and it sounded really good. Solid receiver.
@FamilyAvila-ix6pf I love this thing.
Does stereo music play through all speakers or just the front channels?
Depends on the setting. On stereo just the front left and right.

I have not. Thank you for the insight the Yamaha is getting old..
this receiver suports all DTS sounds, DTS , DTS-HD MA , DTS X , and DOLBY, DD , DD PLUS , DOLBY TRUE HD AND ATMOS ? SAUDATIONS FROM PORTUGAL
@@tiagorocha8659 Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby Height Virtualization, and DTS Virtual:X
This receiver is excellent as a preamp (paired with a power amp or active speakers) but regular Audyssey instead of XT32 is a big con

12:01 Beware the sub outputs are not independent. Meaning they both act as 1 channel. You have 1 volume control for both. No directional feature.
Correct. I am using both now.
Crossover at 40hz?!? I would go 80 or 100hz for those in ceiling speakers
The in ceilings aren't crossed over they're full range. The sub is crossed over.
Nice Review! Do you know if the dialogue/ center enhancement and level settings still work with a phantom center (3.1)?
I don't know but I'll look into it. Thank you so much for watching!
@@Supercar_Street_Racingcan you do a phantom center?
I haven't seen that feature.
Now get yourself a DECENT tv 🎉😂

Civic is Honda's flagship :P
You're comparing a Marantz receiver to a honda? I guess Marantz is Ferrari then.
