This isn't a full episode. It's a compilation of bits from many episodes. All the typical episodes I've seen (online and on OTA/cable TV) only have two to four topics (some longer topics are cut into two sections), lasting about 20 or so minutes total (about half an hour with adverts). But I love the big compilations too!
@@jojoh265 The Wooden Shoes. You can actually watch the process, or at least you could in the 80's. They had a hallway with windows so you could see into the room where the machines were and watch the whole thing.
what a great video! really appreciate the insight into the shoemaking process. however, I can't help but wonder if the focus on mass production is overshadowing the artistry of handcrafted shoes. it seems like we're losing that personal touch, don’t you think?
Bronze is brass and copper. Machines can't crochet. Horseshoe nails are steel or copper. The knitting machine MAYBE rotates at 750 rpm, not per second.
great video! loved the insight into the shoe-making process. but honestly, i feel like the focus is too much on trends rather than sustainability. wouldn't it be better if we prioritized eco-friendly materials over just chasing the latest designs?
Its sad that Bron Shoe / American Bronzing in Columbus Ohio closed in 2018, after 80 years in business. I used to live within walking distance, this was on Alum Creek.
With the ballet slipper segment, when attaching the sole, why let the glue fully dry then reactivate it later? Wouldn’t it be easier to attach the sole then let the glue fully dry after? 🩰
That's 100% NOT crochet! There's no machine capable of crochet. Even though that machine has hooks like a crochet needle, it is in fact a circular knitting machine, a sock machine! The old and trusted version of straight needle knitting. It's a very basic and the first type of knitting machine ever invented.
We like your efforts, but you obviously aren’t farriers and your researcher goofed! Lead wi Outdoor never hold an edge long enough to go thru a hard hoof. Nails are steel, or Mayybee copper if the horse needs extra antimicrobial effect. And one farrier has no trouble hand making shoes.
I love it when they upload a full episode. It is so relaxing when trying to fall asleep, and the background music is so good

Same here 😉🤙🏼
They usually upload a new vid every Friday.
I would love to see how the machines those companies have are made
I like to watch waking up in the morning drinking coffee
funny thing about ballet slippers is that you have to basically destroy them in order to wear them comfortably.😂
@Ab3ndcgibruh, go outside
I was thinking the same thing 😅
I love how suspenseful the music is for the sock and ice skate segments. Makes the manufacturing processes seem way more intense lol.
No crocheting was involved in the making of these boots.
This is true
I’m so glad someone else noticed the lie. Lol
Loom knitting machines, yes, crocheting no.
noticed that the second i heard it, crochet cannot be done by machines
Yep, as a crocheter so glad you pointed it out!
this is one of the most relaxing videos I've ever seen. I'm sure that's a good sign of the times.
Ditto on the machine crochet - cannot happen. The machine is KNITTING!
I've been to this shop...I've watched how they made them. It's fantastic.
which thing?

You can call a farrier a blacksmith, but don't ever call a blacksmith a farrier.
Incredibly the same guy gave us Beef Wellington and Wellington Boots.
I sure hope the moccasin lady owns part of the company
Love love this program !! Watched it for years ❤❤❤❤❤

Bronze is Copper and tin. Brass is copper and zinc

Yay, another compilation!!
Machines cannot crochet. Machines can knit. Only humans can crochet.
Thank you!!!!
Thanks for the useful information from the video!

Its a chemical process that allows molecular chains to grow and strengthen after entanglement.. Many adhesive rubber compounds act this way.
Perfect, time to sleep 🥱😴
Cool!
Crochet? You mean knit.
Very interesting video

I never knew I wanted a pair of ballet shoes.
Definitely not crochet it's impossible to do on machine

What happens to the extra fabric? 🤔
Loved seeing the process for ballet slippers knowing what ballerinas do to them once they buy them 😂

Grandma's aren't the only ones who knit. That stereotype needs to go away.

I've learned that people who crochet are irritating from this video.
