Hi - With the Tundra out of stock in the US warehouse I'm considering this plane. My battery collection is mostly 3S 2200's. Per the video I see the plane will fly with 3s 2200... but would you actually recommend it if that's the only batteries I plan to use with it. Thanks for your reply.
Included in the box are an FPV camera mount and a JST ESC to FPV equipment lead. This mount etc coupled with the crystal clear molded windscreen gives you the opportunity to experience HD scale FPV flying from the cockpit for the ultimate FPV experience. hobbyking.com/en_us/h-king-pnf-swiss-j-3-piper-cub-epo-1400mm.html
@@HobbyKingOfficial Oh my. You've read my mind. I can't believe it, a scale kit delivered the exact way I would want it. Now if only I could work my way into Hobby King's good graces to give it a review?!
Very nice upgrade to a fine model. One thing I would need to have in order for me to make a purchase would be an easy-on-off wing. Would be nice to have added a pilot figure. I would change out the wheels for bigger Tundra like wheels. Ps. You're obviously a very accomplished RC pilot. You made it look easy. 👍
Love the colour scheme - very nice. The new landing gear will be a big plus for many, but the more scale one (with the X struts) on the previous versions looked better!
We went for simplicity over form with this version. That said some thick black elastic string or something to that effect can be added easily and closely simulate what you're after. Stuart.
It has a small plate at the rear underside of the fuselage to help facilitate mounting of your own floats, but this model doesn't have any specifically for it. Stuart
Hi, was just wondering, I have the 1400 navy cub. Can you fit the new undercarriage onto the older navy cub. I see it is in stock as a spare part. And Yes I know it's the wrong colour 😃. Thanks, Andy in UK.
Nice flying stuart, i like the colorscheme...and finally HK listened to their customers about the reinforced landinggear...i just ordered this plane, now i hope the buildprocess is easy and the quality of parts is up to date. Can you please share your tranmitter settings?
Thanks, I'm sure you'll enjoy her. I was flying on my older Tarranis, I can try and get those settings up on the site, but until then, the settings shown in the included Quick Set-up Guide supplied with the model are my settings. Stuart.
@@HobbyKingOfficial Stuart, in my last HK J3 Navycub i could use my zippy 3S-2200 40C batteries. Its not on the recommended list but is it possible to use them in this new Cub?
Nice job Stuart and H-King. Love the guy in the background flying into himself 😂
Great video Stuart. And the bird is awesome. A must in every hangar. Big salute to all RC lovers here from Pilot Robert Slovenia.
Thanks Robert, and ladies and gents be sure to check out Roberts unboxing of this bird on his channel.
Great work Stuart!!! HobbyKing knocked it outta the park with this beautiful remake with this Swiss Cub. Keep the great things coming guys!!👊🏼👊🏼
That's the plan!
Nice looking plane, love the guy at 2:05 that almost decapitates himself flying inverted.
Great flight Stuart, so happy they have strengthened the undercarriage. The Swiss insignia great for sky visibility 👍🏻
Yes they are

Nice one Stuart. Good to see you back with HK.
More to come!
Love the plane and the socks
Thanks, yeah those socks are brighter than I remembered! Stuart.

that is a SWEET little Cubby
I would need a 180-degree servo, FPV camera with a 2.1mm lens, and at least 250mW. That Cub is perfect for a stealth, scale, FPV rig.

Go HD man!! It's a game changer for scale FPV!

Nice one Stuart
I just bought onef !!!! my 2nd plane.
So when are they going to be in stock in the UK ?
In the next month or so, there has been a delay with shipments to the UK. However until then it can be ordered from the EU WH.
Hi Stuart!, is this model also pontoons ready, or does it need some mods?
It has a small plate at the rear underside of the fuselage to help facilitate mounting of your own floats, but this model doesn't have any specifically for it. Stuart
Painless 360 has just released a video on this too and he loves it

Hi Andy yes you can, and we mention this on the page for the new landing gear too. Stuart.
@@HobbyKingOfficial thanks that is very good to know.
What about optional floats?

Has anyone tried a flaperon mix on this plane?
Very nice, but there should be a pilot in there !
