She died alone, friendless and lost everything in the end.

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! You really brought out the energy in all of your scenes, from CoA's early life with Henry to her indignance when he had his affairs. I especially loved the scene with Mary it was so precious 😭 i think you illustrated the lyrics really well and when she yelled no way i FELT THAT TYSM FOR THIS ANIMATIC ITS A FAVOURITE FOR SURE
What I love most about this animatic is that unlike a lot of other animators in the beginning you portray Catherine and Henry’s relationship as loving. I feel like this makes Catherine’s actions to be jealous of Boleyn more realistic because Boleyn isn’t just stealing her husband shes stealing someone she genuinely loved before his true colors of being a royal jerk were shown.
And then there is her daughter. Who locked her half sister in prison and repeatedly called her step mom (mostly Anne b.) a wh0re and killed people because of her opinion.

Imagine how humiliating that must be for the girl who was raised as a princess and only heir to the throne of England. Not only that, but he also prevented her from seeing her mom unless she officially declared herself a bastard/illegitimate child, thus giving up her right to the throne and surrendering England to protestantism. Considering what she was like (a devout Catholic and granddaughter of both Spanish and English royalty), it's understandable why she wasn't willing to stoop that low and dishonor her mother like that. But, in doing so, she was never permitted to see her mother for three whole years until Catherine died. If I went through what she went through, I'd probably hate Anne's guts too. And yeah, although she did lock up Elizabeth when she became queen, she mostly did it because of duty rather than malice. The protestants would've used Elizabeth to overthrow Mary if given the chance. Imprisoning Elizabeth was a way to keep them both safe, otherwise one of them would've eventually lost their heads. Also, they were apparently really close when they were younger. When Mary became presumably pregnant and her claim to the throne seemed safe, she immediately freed Elizabeth from her captivity. Don't get me wrong, during her late years in life, Mary was a real crazy bitch who saw every non-catholic as a threat to society that must be burned. But considering how mistreated she was during her youth, it's easy to see why she turned out the way she did
oh my gosh--the idea of Catherine's veil after becoming a nun turning into her headpiece in her final costume is sO COOL??!! This was so well done,,and so creative, amazing work!! :00
iejsjaks love that part where the spikes grow, it's so damn awesome and it's almost like that's a turning point for Aragon, once she realizes that the fault was not, in fact in her failures or shortcomings, but rather, the fault was in Henry's greed and lies and disloyalty. Love it!!
It must have been devastating. On a time where marriage was seen as almost like a chain and a certainty for all your life, and also a time where woman’s values were in a lot of ways defined by it...To try so hard and still be thrown away so aggressively...Specially considering how religious she was, it must have been really painful (without even mentioning she being separated from Mary who then proceeded to suffer through abuse).
Fun Fact: Cathrne of Aragon never accepted that she wasnt Queen her last letter before she died was signed, Kathrine the Queen. She was a queen tilll the moment she died. (not litteraly queen)

I feel Catherine had it the hardest. It wasn't her fault that: 1) She couldn't produce a boy aka a heir 2) That her beauty was fading She loves Henry so much that even after she heard all the rumors she kept quiet. I feel Catherine had it the hardest. It wasn't her fault that:
1) She couldn't produce a boy aka a heir
2) That her beauty was fading
She loves Henry so much that even after she heard all the rumors she kept quiet. Not only that but after he had brought another women into her home which was very disrespectful with her being his wife, she still said nothing. Not only that but she pleaded for Henry to stay with her. Even after everything he did to her, she still loved him. The other wives had warnings about who he really was but Catherine was young and all she knew was the man she had fallen in love with. It's sad how she was so easily replaced :C

I love this storyboard/animatic, it’s tied to Dont Lose Your Head, also, the drawing is amazing! The thing is, in this song, and DLYH, CoA and AB hate eachother, but in the show, they are best friends, I wish they kept the enemy thing throughout tbh.

One note: Henry and Anne never slept together while he was married. She was adamant about waiting until they were married, which is a big part of why he wanted to annul his marriage in the first place. But awesome animatic nonetheless.
I felt sad and happy for her at the same time sad bc he was a asshole to her happy bc she told him "no why"
