    First thing I noticed when you guys were sitting there was how neat and clean the background view is. Even when you get up to look at the Tractors the panoramic view is Awesome. Great cleanup job Hank. You should be Proud. I think you need a before and after picture side by side. The Hurricane damaged property and today's view. On another note that 4540 is a Tank. I don't think I would put water in the tires if I purchased one because I wouldn't want to kill my new 3/4 Ton Truck. 😜 Mark.

    SO many specs and so many options lol as for getting turf tires on a Mahindra on those 4500s I don't think they offer a turf tire for those but I am sure your local dealer could set you up with the tires you wanted since I know my Case/Kubota Dealer would do that for me if I needed it.. I been doing a lot of tractor research on the 120 pto horse size for my farm use and have learned a lot in how each brand rates their tractors.

    Honestly I would have bought a smaller tractor except need to lift 2500# pallets of salt all winter. The 4540 does it no problem, well after a little adjustment on the pressure valve. And 3 point pallet forks to hold ballest. Going on 5 years with zero problems and is a tank. Tool for the job as they say. :) Another great video

  • @lpcfarm4611
    @lpcfarm4611 4 года назад +3

    Hank, if you want to lift from the front, you NEED to lift from the rear as well. Having a ton of lifting capacity up front and not putting anything on the three point is a common way to break the front axle. Having water weight in the tires only keeps the rear tires on the ground, it does nothing to relieve stress from the front axle. You need weight behind the rear tires so the rear tires and heavy duty rear axle are acting as a pivot point, taking weight off of the front axle. The rear axle is what is intended to carry most of the weight. The front axle is designed to steer, and with 4wd, help pull the rear along in low-traction scenarios. If you want to "max lift" with the front loader, you need to max (or nearly max) the three point as well. The front axle pivots side to side, the rear does not. If the front is carrying most of the load and the terrain isn't perfectly flat, luck is the only thing that keeps the rubber side down. Keep all things in life in balance, especially things that can take your life.

    • @HamiltonvilleFarm

      Well said. That's a great input. 👍

      @@HamiltonvilleFarm :) Just like to help happy tractorers keep on tractoring trouble-free. Breaking axles or steering knuckles are sorta the opposite of happy tractoring. Have seen lots of broken front axles on tractors over the years. Common theme is always lack of three point counterweight.

  • @MrJohnislost
    @MrJohnislost 4 года назад +1

    Great Comparison guys. I picked out a CK2610H and the difference with the CK4010H is only the horse power, 26 rather than 40. Same tractor, same lift capacity front and rear, size, tires, pto power, and everything the same but down the field pulling power. A couple thousand dollars less and no regen needed for the engine. I am also not a farmer so the plow pulling power is not a factor for me. One of the BIG factors for me is the maneuverability of the Kioti. Three feet of snow hit us over Christmas and the Kioti is so maneuverable digging out the snow in tight areas, just so easy even with the backhoe sticking out there. For those non farmer users try setting up a tight obstacle course to see the difference with the Manhindra and Kioti. The front axle design and size of the machine in the Kioti should have a big advantage. I would even put it up against a sub-compact tractor for maneuverable. Now that the snow cleared out, the roads are open its time to grab the board and drive an hour to the coast - I hear the surf is up tomorrow.

    I looked at both of these tractors when I was buying back in 2016. They are two totally different animals. The smaller lighter Kioti will get into tighter places and cross lawns without messing them up. It will struggle with lifting heavy implements and carrying heavy loads. The 4540 will be much more stable but don't cross someone's nice lawn with it.

    When comparing tractors you have to compare tractors of the same width .
