I like to make my own straps with two inch width at 67 inches each. I use a bias maker tool. I leave three inches at each end so I can thread them through the bottom loops and sew the ends together then finish sewing the strap. It's more economical. I do like the pocket you added to the front, so I will be adding it to my bags. I make bags for my local Christmas charity program. I’m retired and I love doing this. This is my first year doing this and I plan to continue making Santa Sacks and drawstring backpacks for the children in my community. I love all my RUclips tutorials. Thank you.
Yeh I agree love your iron! Although I have to say the bags are the star, never made anything like this before, fairly new to sewing and I’ve made 5 ! Given to family and they love them, thank you so much for your easy to follow instructions
Very cute but I prefer to line my bags because I don't like raw edges at all. I don't have a server and don't like to deal with those edges at all if possible. But other than that, I like this bag!! I'm going to make one now. Thanks
I wish you would have done the finishing touches you mentioned and why fast forward through the threading of the cord, it's very hard to follow that part.

For anyone planning to do this project, you can do a binding or welt seam to cover the raw edges where the drawstring tunnel and body meet.
love this thank you ! my 3 year old great nephew will love this bag for the car and visiting friends.
Love your iron
We all need an iron like that😊
Is there a download of directions?
Love it! Thanks a bunch!

Toby my middle grandson made this today!
Where do you get that iron
Oliso irons are available online. A quick internet search will bring up numbers of shops selling this iron.
The top stitching is along the folded/pressed edge on the pocket -- right? Thought so.
I'm wondering how thick the cording is on these drawstrings?

just slow it down on settings
Wish she had spent time explaining how to put the cording through the bag. She went too fast on that part.
