When Breau played Georgia that blew my mind and he used a lot of those cords too I was reading that he did study piano a lot, and he wanted to try to get that seventh note in the bass sound

No point trying to learn. Lenny Breau was magic. If you don't know the incantations, you can't play like him.

No one can do what Lenny did on that level. But you can still learn from Lenny.

excellent presentation! Adam! Lenny is one of my favorite guitarists but I can never figure out why his chords sound so exotic. Thanks for helping to make that clear.

This is excellent Adam! I imagine you do this one the seven string with even more complexity or an extra octave .

Exactly! Just had to keep it 6-string friendly. Thanks for watching!

    • @JazzRockswithAdam

      ... it wouldn’t be a whole octave. At most a 4th.

Shiv, thanks for leaving a comment and your suggestion. Unfortunately, I’m not the “Ted Greene kind of guy.” Of course I know about him, but I never studied his approach. So I’m not an authority enough to teach anything about it. I hope you enjoyed this video on Lenny.

Very good and important advices here, (some mistaken positions in diagrams but scores are right and you just have to look at the vid if u're not sure ).

Just f***ing with you. You sound great. The material is good. I just can’t afford to pay for it right now. I’ve been struggling for gigs since Covid. But, Ed Bickert and Lenny are two of my favorites. The Ed Bickert chords are a little tough for me. I have small hands.
Anyway, keep up the good work.
