I am in awe. The skill and commitment to be able to nail each one of those very different (and very difficult!) solos is amazing. You're a legend, dude.
i don't know anybody that could do what you accomplished. there are plenty of great guitarists in the world, but taking on a list like this and nailing it, with all the diverse styles is just something i'm doubtful even the greatest players could pull off. i don't suspect trickery at all...just hard work. skill, a great ear for music, and an incredible memory. way to go!
Cheers mate, and thanks! Certainly no trickery involved. Took me over two years to learn them all (the whole hundred). A lot of time and effort put into it. Back when I did this project, I wouldn't have even known how to fake something, haha. You know, video edits and whatnot. Didn't know how to do it.
This is incredible. I only learned of your project a couple of days ago, when you had finished it. For the solos I'm familiar with, you absolutely nailed them. Not just note-for-note, but the feels too. Really good resource for guitarists, with the simple framing of fretboard and picking. I've only watched a few of the individual videos, but it's great to hear your in depth thoughts on each one. Great job!
I kept trying to cut away from the video several times - just one more I kept saying - but just had to watch all 25. Totally awesome achievement (including the 75 leading up to the top 25)!
Truly exceptional the way you play all these style -wise completely different solos with the right feeling, intonation and everything. 10 out of 10 for sure
Also, it amazes me how the 50+ year old classic solos from Hendrix, Page, Clapton, Gilmour, Beck, Blackmore, Duane Allman and even Chuck Berry just continue to astound with their melody, phrasing, taste, balls, emotion and ingenuity. Then you’d have to add in Iommi, Mick Taylor, Billy Gibbons, Montrose, Terri Kath, Skunk Baxter, Michael Schenker, Joe Perry, Skynyrd dudes, Frampton and on and on before you even get to the VH era.
Absolutely stellar playing Kelly Dean! ❤❤👍👍🎸🎸Just watched this video and once again in amazement. Each one of the solos was brilliant playing, there were definitely some standouts for me -including heartbreaker, Hotel California, all along the watchtower, cliffs of Dover, eruption , comfortably numb and Time, finger picking sultans of swing! Bohemian Rhapsody Its one thing to just be able to play the notes of a solo, but you put your heart and soul into it and capture all the subtleties of a particular solo such as spot on vibrato, bends , note and phrase intervals, and the most elusive thing of all which is in my opinion the emotion of the original artist Inspired playing Kelly !
I'm pretty sure Dave Mustang wrote the "Fade To Black" solo. But this was some of the very best guitar solo covers that I have ever seen. Awesome job Kelly. I highly enjoyed every single one of these.

Also happy to see another "bad form" thumb placement dude still shredding. Mayer, Frusciante and Hendrix taught me to play that way and some of the more proper shred songs always seemed out of reach because of that to me.

Hard to argue with any of them but for what it's worth I think Sultans of Swing should of got a little more Love from the Lister's , as I would have fit it somewhere in the Top 10 . Bulls on Parade in the Top 25? That counted as a solo? Kelly, do you agree with that assessment? I’d like to hear your Top 25! However, there are so many gems on deeper cuts that no one but guitar fans will ever talk about them. I really think that despite all the debates, if you’re good enough to get to a level of popularity and memorability in the guitar or rock world you’re damn good and worth listening to. Could you maybe include a tab . It's quite hard to follow it looks like pentatonic with a flat 6th thrown in here and there , I'm lost when you go to the 12th fret I can't see what scale is used . Lovely bending notes in the solo , well played

Amazing work! Besides your awesome guitar selection, how do get all of your tones down? Are you using an amp modeling software with pedals? Would love to see a video of your rig/setup and how you dial everything in to sound so well. Sorry if you've already done something like that, would appreciate redirection to a vod if that's the case
Man, I worked at that damn hard when I was a kid. It's all I cared about, speed, speed, speed. Don't think that way anymore, but I still have it in my arsenal when I need it. Speed is unfortunately something that can't be taught. It's takes time and practice. I do find that muscle memory helps though. If you repeatedly play something enough times to the point that you can play it without even thinking about it, it's amazing how fast one's fingers can move after a while.
I know you've said in the past you use Bias FX, have you tried Guitar Rig 6 - debating between the two but I'm not super experienced so I'm not sure which is best
I had no idea Guitar Rig came out with version 6. News to me. I must check that out. It's been ten years since the last one. There must be a few reviews on RUclips by now? However, I'm quite happy with bias fx2 pro. No complaints whatsoever.
@@pepelepew4400 I've just watched a quick review or two and read some comments.
