Im in my 60s and INXS was one of my favourite bands in the 80s and 90s. At the time they were considered as being one of the best live bands in the world which probably comes from their pub rock roots here in Australia. For a time they were right up there in popularity with bands like U2. In 2005 8 years after Michael had passed CBS did a reality show in the US were there was a competition to see who would replace Michael as INXS lead vocalist which was judged by the other band members. It was won by J.D Fortune a Canadian vocalist who for the next 6 months toured the world as their front man even scored a couple of minor hits with new songs but coke binges and mental health issues finally ended the experiment..
I see you've just teetered on the edge of the Aussie music rabbit hole. Let me push u in. Listen to John Farnham.. anything live is best, & the concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (how can an orchestra rock? Watch his cover of Long Way To The Top), plus his sound check song (audio only) Black Dog (Led Zep cover). Jimmy Barnes with John (Barnsey & Farnsey) singing When Something Is Wrong With My Baby. From there venture into Cold Chisel. Kasey Chambers singing her cover of Eminem's Lose Yourself will make your jaw drop. Vanessa Amerosi.. anything live. What About Me by Moving Pictures. Touch by Noiseworks. Kate Ceberano. Eagle Rock by Daddy Cool (early 70's Aussie rock). That should get u started on the journey. Warning... Aussie music is a very deep rabbit hole... but worth falling into. Ok, I'm biased but it's true. Enjoy!!
I grew up listening to INXS. One of my favorite bands. I don’t think you mentioned to your girlfriend, but the lead singer Michael Hutchence passed away in 1997 at the age of 37. You might of told her in a previous video. It still makes me sad. Too young.
Yeah... I might have misspoke there too... I definitely did NOT mean malice by what I said, I just know youtube doesn't like the s-word when it comes to making videos
Y'all know how I feel about Hutch. He was a shining star, and when he left inxs was over. they didn't do themselves favors by that insulting, stupid rock star inxs and the dime store, not dollar store, but dime store, replacement J.D. fortune! it was disgraceful. sorry for the rant! Michael is everything to me. how I miss him. as I said before she won't know the true amazement that is michael until she sees him perform live. so much better than studio.
going out on a limb. He's the best frontman of all time. I don't care I stand by it. just pure vocal talent, and always sounding amazing. no one was like michael, not Mick Jagger, not Freddy, not anyone. In my eyes michael is all there is. if you haven't heard the side project he did with Ollie Oleson called Max Q that's my favorite thing michael ever did. I will never forget the first time I heard the max Q stuff. dammit, I miss him.

You should watch this song from the Live Baby Live concert at Wembly.
Yes! You need to see the Live Baby Live version of this song. This really showcases Michael and the whole band as a proper live act to watch.
The whole album is really good - Listen Like Thieves title track, Shine Like It Does!
Add in "Same Direction" and "Good + Bad Times"

Nevermind…. You did talk about it in a previous video. I’m watching the videos out of order.

Copyright! Sorry!
You are getting a 👎🏻 this time. If you have to blur the screen don't bother. It is headache inducing.
Hey! Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I couldn't post the video without the blur. Hopefully you checked out the other INXS song we posted!!
