    Yeah man. This really helped me install my new head unit on 2004 350z. Your right , DONT install the 8 wires from harness. Use the RCA so it's sends normal amps to BOSE system. It worked perfectly. Thank you so much. Ps . And yes you just have to wire your ground to make it all work. Props!!

    So i wired up just like you said to my nissan altima. Yes its got an amp for the speakers. But i got a kenwood radio wired it correctly, sounds great but its really quite. I cant for the life of me figure out the problem.

    • @BackRoadBurnouts
      @BackRoadBurnouts  Год назад

      Likely doesnt have bose audio. Check truck for amp, if you dont have one dont use pre amp outputs as theres no amp. Wire speakers to your head unit

    That’s what a remote wire is for. Hook all 3 blue together and ground out the black to chassie. Done!

  • @mozartcat89
    @mozartcat89 3 года назад +1

    Yes you’re running the sub. But did you look up the PAC ROEM-NIS2? It’s supposed to let you use an aftermarket stereo with an amp on your old stereo harness..

  • @Tgrovez

    Did you have problems with volume? I did the exact same thing you did on my 2000 Maxima. I even bought the harness with the RCA's and I have to crank the audio all the way up.

    • @BackRoadBurnouts
      @BackRoadBurnouts  Год назад

      If your max doesn’t have factory bose with an amp, then no need to use pre amp outputs on your head unit just use the amp output from the headunit straight to the speakers.

    So, you installed your own subwoofer and that's why you wired those extra RCA cables at the bottom?

    • @BackRoadBurnouts
      @BackRoadBurnouts  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes thats correct. The middle and top rca are front / rear pre amp outputs to the bose amp.

    • @johnturner8994

      You ground it anywhere on ythe frame of your car. Black is always ground.

    You don't need to get a bypass module or anything?

    • @BackRoadBurnouts
      @BackRoadBurnouts  6 лет назад +1

      Nope car has amp from factory. DO NOT Hook up to your high level speaker outputs or it will sound like shit, you must use the pre-amp out to go to the bose amp.

    • @BackRoadBurnouts
      @BackRoadBurnouts  6 лет назад

      Will the stereo turn on or just no sound? May have forgot to hook up the amp power as well as the headunit, remember you must wire the bose amp power with the headunit, then use the pre amp outputs, NOT high level outputs or it will distort as you're going from head unit to bose amp.

    • @BackRoadBurnouts

      You would wire the pac into your steering wheel controls. I didn't include this in the video as i'm installing an aftermarket steering wheel and will no longer have those controls.

    Will this method work with a 2008 Nissan Altima. I have a factory bose stereo and I’m trying to install a JVC aftermarket stereo. Every time I touch ground to the chassis I hear a loud pop and static in the background

    Hey bud I have the maxima and got the same exact harness u got I hooked everything up and I got music but very low even turned all the way up could it be because I didnt hook the amp turn on wire right and ground

    • @BackRoadBurnouts
      @BackRoadBurnouts  5 лет назад

      Could be, although does your car have bose from factory? If not no need to use low level outputs. If you do have the amp make sure you have your amp power hooked up as well as grounds.

    How do I make my own ground?

    • @jamesfair9751
      @jamesfair9751 4 года назад +1

      You don’t absolutely have to make your own ground. It is better and usually a cleaner signal if you do but not 100% required. If you wish to make your own ground simply attach a ground wire 10-12 awg preferable to any solid metal surface of the car. Make sure you sand down any paint and have a smooth clean connection to the wire from the metal structure.

    • @BackRoadBurnouts
      @BackRoadBurnouts  11 месяцев назад

      Straight to the dash is the best spot.

    • @BackRoadBurnouts
      @BackRoadBurnouts  11 месяцев назад

      With bose audio you have to because you have to ground the amp. If you dont ground it you will get hissing and interference feedback constantly

  • @johnaranjo2059

    Dont hook your 12v remote out to the 12v power on. Thats just dumb. Also your wiring is a fire hazard dude jesus take some price in your work. --- edit you had a car burn down holy shit whoda guessed it..

    • @BackRoadBurnouts
      @BackRoadBurnouts  11 месяцев назад

      My 12v remote isnt to the power on? And hows my “wiring” a fire hazard? You rather i use crimps? Lmfao.
      And nope ive never had a car burn down over 30 cars under my belt so far
