The integration doesn't work when the starting point of the light is on but dimmed. The light returns to its original setting (off) after 15 min. But if the light is already on, but dimmed, then the light doesn't get triggered by the Ring camera. This is a realistic scenario where you might want to leave the light on a low dim all night and only turn bright when triggered by Ring motion

this is good to know ... I was looking to have my lights on the outside at 40% dimmed and with motion detected from my Ring doorbell go to 100% then with no motion go back to 40%. if any know how to do this and keep existing light fixtures. tet me know.

It's all fun and games until you find out your house is haunted and the closet light keeps going on for no reason.

Just get a PIR occupancy sensor at Home Depot for $25. Works great for closets and is ALOT cheaper and easier.
