As much as I like the form factor, I wouldn’t recommend it. Software is too old and performance is just better with most of the latest releases. Most of the budget phones all already have big enough screens IMO that it won’t make a huge difference. Just my two cents. Thanks for watching!

Thanks bro! The performance so far is great! I've had a few stutters here and there but that is standard with such a new release, it should improve over the weeks. This is the China ROM version though, so I can't wait to get it on my Global ROM Mi Max 3! AI Camera will also make a difference when taking portrait shots. You will enjoy this over your S7 for sure! If im not mistaken there is also a German youtuber that compared the camera of Redmi Note 5 (AI/Pro) to Galaxy S7. He said that the quality is way better than the S7. And also judging from Franky tech's previous photos and videos comparison between the Mi Max 3 and Redmi Note 5 (AI/Pro), Mi Max 3 is better than the two. So I conclude that the camera quality is better than S7 based on their respective reviews.
@@jcdilan I've got both: S7 and Mi Max 3 - S7 got better camera. MiMax3 is not bad, but still it's mid range smartphone with mid range camera. Of course if you're making shots with good lighting conditions - MiMax3 should be ok and u can try to compare it with S7, but still S7 will win that.
@@imlazyz8160 Fully agree here as am in the same situation. I was actually disappointed by the Mi Max 3 camera and the S7 is much better, and not only in dark setting. The MiMax 3 camera does just an OK job but remains grainy in all situations.

Oh BTW, you asked about our fav. features in MIUI... One of my favourite is the "Mi Sound Enhancer" under the "Headphones & Audio effects" options and sadly this one rarely(or never) gets mentioned or covered in the reviews in all channels. My friends who use other top tier brands really get jealous of the sound quality I get through the headphones. I actually have audiophile friends who bought Xiaomi phones just 'cause they like the sound in my redmi phone ;) This option really improves the sound a lottt! (PS tip: I get best sound when i select either General or Mi Earbuds and Default mode on the equalizer)
@@FrankieTech I use the xiaomi.eu version, which is officially recognized by xiaomi. In this version the MIUI is based on the China Rom, but without the Chinese apps and with all the perks of the global Rom. I highly recommend it!

One of my favorite feature from MIUI 10 is potrait mode for single camera phone in rear and front camera and it's work pretty good. And one more thing is natural sounds in clock app. Very helpful using as lullaby sound.
I've been a long-time stock Android user til I bought my Redmi Note 5 AI for a great price, and in time for the MiUI 10 stable release. I'M LOVING IT. So much. It's fast, feature-rich (I need not reinstall some of the 3rd party apps I used to install to my stock android devices as MiUI has its own version and they are very useful), and very attractive. Xiaomi made me an instant fan, and it's nice to see that you love it as well :)

good video ....thanks to your videos, i ordered my Mi Max 3....i was wondering though if the new Ui. Updated the camera stabilization ? I saw that if you use the open app camera app that it works, but i am hoping the camera app already on the phone gets updated so we don't have to use a third party app. The stabilization should work on camera photos & 1080 and 4k video.....and maybe a tweak to better low light photos....
On Global Miui 10 you can also swipe right on the recent apps.. not just left as you say with the China rom. I've also found ram management to be much improved and the battery life on my Max 3 is now comparable to my Max 2. Battery life was a bit weaker before the update! My only gripe with Global Miui 10 now is that swiping up on the home screen triggers the Mi browser instead of Google Now, which I used to find really handy. Can't seem to disable it and I hope Xiaomi sort it out in an update. Thank as always, Frankie 👍

Hi, Frankie Tech! Mi Max 3 Global ROM user here. One thing that I hate about the MIUI 10 Update is about the headphone jack output volume, it is now not loud as it was before. PS. I changed my region settings, used India and Taiwan, and the issue was resolved. I'm from Philippines. 🇵🇭

Try it out! Even the cheaper Xiaomi phones like the Redmi 6, and older phones like the Redmi Note 5 will get MIUI 10. I will always love Stock android, but I appreciate that Xiaomi has implemented more of those Android 9.0 features in their software.
Both phones are good.. Honor 8x 128gb rom with micro sd card slot while on mi8 lite 64/128gb rom. But much cheaper the honor 8x than mi8 lite. Just check the price. Correct me if im wrong. Theres 1 thing i dont know if mi8 lite comes with hybrid sim card slot

Hey franky,miui 10 has one major problem or issue im facing, thats graphics performance issue, before update on pubg mobile,HD graphics was available with max framerates, but after update it supports only upto balanced graphics on medium frames. I thought its due to pubg new update, but when i checked,my friend whose phone was not updated still supports hd graphics.Same issue with note pro and even mi8se update. Watching side by side hd graphics looks very good,lots of details and shadows. I request you please make a video on it, so that xiaomi can fix this.
The only thing I miss from previous version is the settings icon near search icon when using the slider. Does anybody know if you can put it back there, since now it's just search icon

@@FrankieTech if it does, then. with a vpn or some other device protection, people in the USA would be able to make and receive calls. This helps with those on the fence about buying this or any other android device that, wont necessarily work with USA carriers... could be a game changer for some...

Frankie tech ....new question? Does the Mi Max 3 support wifi calling with the new MIUI ? ....being able to make calls with wifi adds a whole lot of life to this device.....

@@FrankieTech if it does, then. with a vpn or some other device protection, people in the USA would be able to make and receive calls. This helps with those on the fence about buying this or any other android device that, wont necessarily work with USA carriers... could be a game changer for some...
Haha all i use is Wi-Fi. I never have had AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint or Verizon. I pay Comcast $19.99 and calls and texts are Free!!!! Its an app.
