Looking to learn Kraken next and this video really helped me wrap my head around them a bit better. I’ve been doing great with Lynx thanks to your Lynx guide, they’ve become my new favorite. Thanks for the content man.
Small *: You'll need to build a camp after the 2 wood cutters if there are neutrals on one of your coastal expansions. It's important to convert the warrior and sell the camp after, otherwise you run the risk of zero-ing out on gold after your 2nd upgrade(There's an awkward period at 801 where you're low on gold and -1 because Near the Sea Spirit hasn't been teched yet)
I love when I get tips to get better. I know I don't always get everything in the guides, but I hope people take away a few tips to improve their gameplay.
When I first started I wanted the basics to learn each clan and I couldn’t really find anything like that so I started making these guides, glad they could help!
Hey love the vids! Wondering if you intend to do gameplay videos with play by play to showcase the builds. Would give a lot more context for newer players like myself!
Yeah! The first couple videos I did I had sped up gameplay with them but it was difficult to keep a focus and the videos ran on too long. Now for the guides I try to keep it short and give the needed info. But I’ll get some gameplay videos going along with some streaming on RUclips.
If you get an adjacent unoccupied shipwreck you can build an early horgr and build your woodcutter after the scout has claimed the shipwreck. Build Order: Fishery, House, Horgr, Woodcutter.
I tired the Valkyrie rush and it is actually really solid. Try to keep positiv food and get 2 Norns asap. If you get a Sheep to feast with 2 Norn, its even faster to get the Valk. No need for a Training Camp. BO is: Scout Camp Hörgr House (at 5/6) 1. Wood Cutter (can be delayed if you have shipwreck) (around here you get the Valk and can clear Wolves before WInter. Heal your Valk in WInter) 2. Wood Cutter House (at 10/11) 1. Fishery 2. Fishery (or other Food if no second coast)
I wish they had all these additional clans on the Switch version and also better graphics like these. I play all the time and wish it was more like the PC version.
At the start you’ll want to colonize your two coastal tiles but if there’s either a forest, lore stone, or iron on a non coastal tile you’ll want to use high tide on the tile before you colonize it. Use shallow waters on at least 3 of your coastal tiles (more buildings on the coast the better) you’ll want a Valkyrie. When going into battle it’s important to only fight in high tide tiles or coastal tiles. If you have that planned out for the most part you can send 1 or two spectral warriors raid but usually I play a little conservative with wyrd to make sure I can high tide any tile I need.
I always get rekt playing Kraken. Can't colonize because is expansive; Fishing have a buff, but it's not enough, even with 3 Fishing Cabins, always low on food. Wyrd always low too, but never negative, even with Horgrs, so I get villagers slowly. Don't have Docks, so no Kröwn, Markets and Trading is not enough, so can't buy military units and upgrade stuff.. man, can't get my head around this clan
I got it! Basically my problem was lack of villagers, so I invested on Horgrs right in the beginning. Boom! Easy win, Kraken is ridiculously overpowered in late game
Can we get an updated Kraken guide good sir? Love the content. A bit more gameplay wouldn't go amiss as well? Say, the usual 5-10 minutes of how-to and then seeing it in practice. Or yaknow just more Northgard videos in general 😄

Great video man!
kraken is strong and fun, had a really satisfying win
Great job! Kraken is an awesome clan
What do you do if the second tile with fish has an wolf on it? I always make some compromis then but it slows me down a lot.
most likely you will have to build a camp and make a warrior or axe thrower to kill it if you don't have a clear teammate
Dude ur videos are awesome
Appreciate the love! I’m trying to make them better for you guys with each video

I have not tried the switch version, but the pc version is awesome!
You posted this 5 months ago, listed several upgrades before town hall. Am I missing something because townhall always is first?
You can’t upgrade anything before your townhall so you’re right townhall always first, my apologies if I forgot to mention it!
What an awesome guide! Do you have any tips on how to spend wyrd?

Already on the channel! Go ahead and see if there’s any other clans you’d like to see!
