For now I am working on my German impression. I will probably join a reenactment group in the near future. Thanks for the advice. Lol still want to do to take part in re-enactments 😅
I will say that it is generally cheaper to get into American reenacting compared to German. The uniform tends to be cheaper and original American gear is much easier to get than original German gear. Just something to think about if you’re just getting into the hobby.
If you actually want to get into reenacting, I’ll help but depending on the area that you live in you will ether have a good chance or a bad one on getting into the hobby If you live in the north eastern us then you are good because most of them are in that area and just go to different events as a spectator and just generally ask reenactors their because 99% of the time they are in a group and just talk to them about joining
…..once you get your impression together…..reenacting is fairly cheap by comparison….gas money, event fees and blanks ! I can tell you though that you’re NEVER done upgrading or “ upgrading “ or impulse buying things. If you’re someone that takes the hobby fairly seriously you’ll be willing to spend the money and do it correctly. I’ve met too many “ fly by night “ reenactors that try the hobby for a few months and then they go on to something else…. The hobby seems to attract a lot of lost souls or people looking to belong to SOMETHING….. some of them out of social awkwardness. But they’re usually in the minority and there’s plenty of good people willing to help new reenactors by literally giving them the shirt off their back.

Yes I do believe that is true but of course you need two teams to have a war
I was thinking about starting a German impression so I might use this for reference
Same here
Glad I could help.
