In my opinion you don’t need to apologize for no running videos. As you said it’s about the hobby and sharing the history etc about these cars. Run videos are cool but we all enjoy your plethora of information you give in each and every video about each car. Keep doing what you’re doing brother 🤘
Firstly mate- Love that hoodie! 👌 You don't have to justify yourself to us mate. There's so many channels on RUclips covering all angles of the hobby. I'm sure I'm not the only one who looks to you, Keith and Gavin for the nostalgia/history/builds side of things above anything else. Then there's the likes of Pete wiley, rc so and so, Andy, RC Dom etc for the running side of things. Then we have Addams playground, OAG, lower budget Bashers etc for restorations. And then there's the highly entertaining humerous channels like Mark bryan and Rob Brennan that often leave you in stitches! 🤣 Obviously there's a lot of cross over, but all the top channels have their own niche that's driven by true passion.... and that's what makes good content. Like you, I couldn't think of anything worse than spending all that time on a build or vintage restoration, getting it totally perfect, then go and run it, scratch it up and get it filthy..... especially if its a rare car. These cars once completed sit firmly on the shelf, to reminsc and admire the completion of a child hood goal! I then have separate cars designated specifically for running, these are usually re re's or modern cars that haven't got brittle ageing plastics, and spares are widely available. That way then you can properly drive them as they were intended, and enjoy the pleasure without worrying about scratches/breakages. And trust me, we run our cars hard! That being said, I've been following your channel for some time now and have really enjoyed many of your running videos, especially at the BMX track( avante, top force, egress, monster beetle etc) Your different motor set ups/speed tests in various cars were always delightful to. So, it's great to hear the new line up/ideas for when the joys of spring /summer finally emerge! Keep doing what your doing fella! 👍 👍 👍 👍
Glen I can't believe u would say if we don't want to watch we can stop. I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say u don't put enough videos out for us to watch. Because I watch every video u offer up for us to watch. Lol. I'm sure it can be a bother sometimes. And as far as the running videos. That's up to u. But u should get one of those phone holders that u can attach to ur remotes. But either way. I enjoy all ur videos. And miss the longer one's. No matter what u decide My Man, I'm here for it👍
I bet u could do those videos in about 3 days. It would take a day of just setting down at the bench and just go from car to car installing all the electronics in. Next day load them all up in the car. Take them to ur spot film each car for about 15 mins. Day 3 do voice over on ur edit setting for each car and video while setting in the comfort of ur favorite computer chair👍 this was a cool video and it says like you have your content figured out or at least a little while and with all of that you may need to sit down with a poster board and draw you up a schedule. Lol
I totally understand the not wanting to run them all or at least not right away! I generally run mine at least once but there are times when I don't really want to run it right away. I enjoy seeing them all pristine on the shelf like a showroom! I think it was a lot different when I only had a couple cars, I could not imagine not running them but now that I have so many and a lot of them are ones I really have wanted since I was a kid I don't want to run them very often. I have beater cars for that purpose! I have a few Arrma kits and Traxxas kits I can go out run the wheels off of them and put them away all duty and scraped up and don't care in the least but to run some of the true collection cars I have to clean them all up and stuff before I can put them back on display. It does become tedious and leads you to not wanting to run them! I am glad you have made plans to run some and the ones you have lined up should be fun to watch run about! Take care!!
I like the idea of putting a few different motors in ONE car on ONE day, to see/fell the differences immediately. Then take the best motor and put it in many different cars on ONE day to finally have a "winning combo".

You guys got hammered by old man winter this year. I still see snow on the ground, in March. I think you picked the right name , RC Legends. You can have the other makes besides Tamiya. I think most of your followers are more mature and getting back to their roots. Once they got what they want from Tamiya, other brands began to come into their cross hair.

To be honest at first I was in the mindset that I was not bothered about the running vids but then after seeing what's coming I am really looking forward to seeing them. Probably the F1 cars and that tt02b are the ones I will really be looking out for
👍i enjoyed the something different video, it was great to hear a little more about what Glenn wants, and how you see it as your hobby, I watch both channels because of YOU Glenn(not being weird)🤣 and your choices /mad ideas and whacky sounding paint schemes and such lol, and then i usually get the nostalgic bug or have ideas about what I could do next to my small fleet of Rc's 😁. I also remember back in tho's early days when you only built for the pleasure of having them on a shelf but it's also brilliant to see you run some👍. As you asked for our input 😁 I'd like it if on one or 2 Rc's maybe the tt02b/r and TA05 v2 is seeing how different some old fast brushed motors are as they're still widely used.. and this TA05 is the version 2 and if my eyes don't deceive me it doesn't have a one-way in it so will handle loads better than the v1 NSX shell'd lol, and I think that new car park you showed is begging you to hit it flat out😁. 👍👍👍
My cars go just as well sitting in front of me, as they do ripping around, i love the hunt and the build more TBH. Hard to beat just sitting back and looking at them. Having said that, can't wait to see the running vids, Cheers mate!
Hi Glen, I’ve been a fan of Tamiya legends for just over a year now it was the fist channel I started watching when I first got back into the hobby and I’ve seen every video you’ve put out on RC legends. I love your enthusiasm for the hobby! Hey Glenn instead of saddle packs for that car what about a single small lipo. Maybe a 1200-1600 mah 2s. Should be about tge same size as 1/2 the saddle pack
I really don't think your channel needs running videos Glenn! I enjoy both channels for the excellent content you have been given us! Don't get me wrong l will really look forward to seeing your running videos again because of the cars you will running and the fact you feel you are ready to rumble again and get some cars out is super cool because running these cars is a super fun part of the hobby. l do still run some of my cars and really do enjoy running them and down the beach mostly so always super fun but like you Glenn over the last few years l have enjoyed building and displaying my cars more and more but the fun of running is still something l really enjoy especially cars that bring nostalgia to the party. But mate l have definitely not felt short changed regarding running vids on your channels l think you have found your niche in what your channels are about! Glenn l have to say mate that hoodie looks epic! I need one! Anyway your passion for this hobby is why l love watching and as long as you have that passion and energy l will always be watching and listening to your dribble my friend. Good stuff Glenn. It's very understandable why your aren't doing running vids over the winter up there. I'm not a fan of the Northern Hemispere winter, drives me nuts. At least you have these buggies/cars ready to go, I have a bunch that I need to do paint and decals on, and do you think I can get on with it? Nope. Oh well, one day.
Your gonna love the ver2 ta05, if you can get hold of a gear diff for the rear and spool for up front you'll have a weapon on your hands. I love mine, hopped it up to death too. Gotta love the blue bling.... Mines got a real bad case of bluemonia🤣🤣🤣

It depends what you call running videos. I think just driving up and down a flat car park is boring. I would love to see you take a few cars to at least somewhere with some bumps and jumps. Maybe do some lap Times of 3 or 4 vintage classic tamiyas. I think it would do the channel the world of good to get out and meet some other rc fans at tracks or skate park. I will always watch your build videos but could definitely do some with new varied content.
As far as I am concerned, you have nothing to regret about you how you handle your approach to the hobby. You are an artist. You express you art though building, the fitting & the finishing of beautiful RC’s. They are each monuments to your hard work. You are doing what you love & of course what you love makes you happy. I, myself, love my builds. I enjoy running them here & there, but the build is my love. I am not nearly as talented as you, but I do my best & it makes me happy.
Don't blame you for not wanting to run during winter especially with some rare cars, I've only just got the Kyosho Pureten Nitro back running now spring is here in the UK though I do have Tamiya TT-01 & TT-02 as my main running cars.
Can run those sweet cars at these temps, been -10 to-40c all winter in Canada eh. My truck engine oil solidified LOL, those poor old plastics will thank you 👍

I don't blame you for not running in the winter my friend. I am a Canadian and winters in Canada are no joke. Its not worth all the work to only run a car for five minutes because you (and the car) are frozen. Plus the risk of breaking parts, salt etc... Looking forward to getting my Pro II out this summer as well.
What a great selection of cars to run, nice! For me the one I'm most looking forward to is the TA05 Ver. 2, I used to race a TA05 years ago and it was insanely good, even out of the box with no hop-ups on it, I loved that car. I cannot wait to see these videos, great job!!

I really enjoy the catch up videos, it's good to see what's going on. I'm very similar if the weather's rubbish then it's just no fun in the UK and I imagine it's worse in Canada, I do t think I've ran a car for 6 months. Looks like a good list, if you're heading to a nice spot for the FAV it would be good to see a XR311 run with it. Not sure if you've hinting at the kyosho dirt master but that with the Genova would make an interesting comparison. Glad you've got the running itch again, looking fwd to the videos.

If I owned some of these Tamiyas he owns I wouldn't wanna run some of them either. You dont have to get them dirty,scratched or broken for me. I just wanna see them and hear ya talk a bit about them.

Hi there! Glad to see both of your channels over the past few years. One of the suggestions I made before was showing your builds. It doesn't have to be intricate like "Mechanic After Hours". But builds tend to be mesmerizing. With all the builds that you do, might as well record the whole thing and monetize it.

Hi Glen, I have never driven an R/C car in the snow. I live in San Diego and it does not snow here. However, I do understand staying inside when the weather is not good. Where did you get your Sport Tuned sweater? It looks cool! Thoughts?
Its all good. No worries. Run one from time to time, but no one can get much time when you have 200+ cars. Plus filming is tricky at best. Editing in the highlights sounds monotonous.

Don't get me wrong l will really look forward to seeing your running videos again because of the cars you will running and the fact you feel you are ready to rumble again and get some cars out is super cool because running these cars is a super fun part of the hobby. l do still run some of my cars and really do enjoy running them and down the beach mostly so always super fun but like you Glenn over the last few years l have enjoyed building and displaying my cars more and more but the fun of running is still something l really enjoy especially cars that bring nostalgia to the party. But mate l have definitely not felt short changed regarding running vids on your channels l think you have found your niche in what your channels are about!

Anyway your passion for this hobby is why l love watching and as long as you have that passion and energy l will always be watching and listening to your dribble my friend.

Yeah the problem with that area is it’s just always busy with kids on there bikes 😅. It’s really difficult to get a clear run at it 🙈

Your gonna love the ver2 ta05, if you can get hold of a gear diff for the rear and spool for up front you'll have a weapon on your hands. I love mine, hopped it up to death too. Gotta love the blue bling.... Mines got a real bad case of bluemonia🤣🤣🤣

My F201 was painted in the same colours! I raced it around 2003 (i think) and it looked beautiful!

It depends what you call running videos. I think just driving up and down a flat car park is boring. I would love to see you take a few cars to at least somewhere with some bumps and jumps. Maybe do some lap
Times of 3 or 4 vintage classic tamiyas. I think it would do the channel the world of good to get out and meet some other rc fans at tracks or skate park. I will always watch your build videos but could definitely do some with new varied content.

As far as I am concerned, you have nothing to regret about you how you handle your approach to the hobby. You are an artist. You express you art though building, the fitting & the finishing of
beautiful RC’s. They are each monuments to your hard work. You are doing what you love & of course what you love makes you happy. I, myself, love my builds. I enjoy running them here & there, but the build is my love. I am not nearly as talented as you, but I do my best & it makes me happy.

Don't blame you for not wanting to run during winter especially with some rare cars, I've only just got the Kyosho Pureten Nitro back running now spring is here in the UK though I do have Tamiya TT-01 & TT-02 as my main running cars.
Can run those sweet cars at these temps, been -10 to-40c all winter in Canada eh.
My truck engine oil solidified LOL, those poor old plastics will thank you 👍

I don't blame you for not running in the winter my friend. I am a Canadian and winters in Canada are no joke. Its not worth all the work to only run a car for five minutes because you (and the car) are frozen. Plus the risk of breaking parts, salt etc... Looking forward to getting my Pro II out this summer as well.

What a great selection of cars to run, nice! For me the one I'm most looking forward to is the TA05 Ver. 2, I used to race a TA05 years ago and it was insanely good, even out of the box with no hop-ups on it, I loved that car. I cannot wait to see these videos, great job!!

I’m always a little bit nervous running mine but once I’m done I feel I’ve accomplished my goal and I have a memory tied to that rc forever. I really enjoy the catch up videos, it's good to see what's going on. I'm very similar if the weather's rubbish then it's just no fun in the UK and I imagine it's worse in Canada, I do t think I've ran a car for 6 months.
Looks like a good list, if you're heading to a nice spot for the FAV it would be good to see a XR311 run with it. Not sure if you've hinting at the kyosho dirt master but that with the Genova would make an interesting comparison.

Hi there Glenn, Awesome video and information as always straight up and to the point NO BS, looking forward to your choice of cars to run and yes the 64 tooth spur for the TT02b is an 0.6Mod and i will be using a 26 tooth to start and hopefully can get the 29 and 32 if they will fit if not ill have to settle for the biggest without having to alter anything , cheers Glenn my friend love the video and the Genova finish looks so so cool 🤤

Its all good. No worries. Run one from time to time, but no one can get much time when you have 200+ cars. Plus filming is tricky at best. Editing in the highlights sounds monotonous.
