    The fact that 3D printers can print moving parts and gears in one print just blows me away I have no clue how that works it doesn't seem possible to me but I have very little knowledge on 3D printers but badly want one

    • @BeastlyTT
      @BeastlyTT 2 года назад +3

      As someone with a 3D printer I will say, this is still quite incredible. I couldn't print half the stuff this guy does. Either he takes an insane number of hours to dial in his printer to get these results or he's just really lucky. If you want to get into 3D printing I suggest SLA printers. More toxic but you'll spend less time printing and trying to print. Filament printers are just such an ache to tune and get to print as well as shown in this video.

    • @jacobstewart6014
      @jacobstewart6014 2 года назад +2

      @@BeastlyTT I have an ender 3 pro and it prints extremely well out of the box. The main thing is getting the print settings right and using the right slider (I use cura)

    • @tiloalo
      @tiloalo 2 года назад

      It can, but only when tuned extremely well. For a hobbyist, it's almost impossible to get those perfect print.

    • @valentin0488
      @valentin0488 2 года назад

      Even Slic3r gets the job done , but first of all, the bolts need to be tighten neetly, and then of course the software printing settings need to be tuned. But with these it can go wrong from time to time, I personally haven't got bad ones, except when I would screw up the settings.

    I must say, I'm very intrigued...how are you getting the timelapses so smooth? It's obviously a decent camera with a fast lens and plenty of light, that's not what I'm confused about...is this OctoLapse? I've just started experimenting with it (and printing as a whole, for that matter) and, while it works, the bed and print head move about quite a bit in all mine. You using a trigger? Maybe modifying the gcode? Very cool, man...I love seeing things that make me think and this sure did!

      Soo.. i dont get it.. where is the filament COMING from?

    • @NiazDokrat
      @NiazDokrat 2 года назад

      from what i understand its probably a plugin or something modifying the gcode to move the head and bed to fixed positions between layers and then trigger a pic so the model is in a constant position and the head is out of the way

    • @rmp5s
      @rmp5s 2 года назад

      I've since figured it out. There's a plugin for OctoPrint called OctoLapse...it lets you use "real cameras" and tweak stuff and all that. Pretty sure that's what he's using.
