Her accent works very well :) Completely understandable. Only a few things: she rolls her "r"s too much sometimes and that makes her sound like a yakuza/gangster, and there was a part where she pronounced "shi" as "hi".

I personally think FFX's love story is one of the most touching one in of the Final Fantasy series; cried buckets during the ending. If there's a follow up to this song in the form of Sen no Kotoba (1000 Words) from FFX-2, wouldn't it be great? A song for Yuna & Tidus, and Lenne & Shuyin. Great work as always, you guys!

For me the most touching scene was at the end when the protagonist began vanishing and joining Jecht. He was so naive and brave. You will never be that light and sincere like you were at your 16-18.
I was devastated when I first witnessed this part of Yuna and Tidus' story some 15 years ago now. I love how the musicians work so hard to pour their hearts into this piece and capture its most gentle and mournful qualities, as seen in their facial expressions, the frequent tender strokes of their bows on the strings, and the pianist playing so gracefully with a quiet intensity. Their respect for a pivotal game narrative scene and its accompanying music, that has echoed throughout gaming history ever since its debut when they were probably too young to notice, is so appreciated. Bravo!

Beautiful cover! I get chills from the nostalgia this gives me--your voice really makes me think of the aeons singing "Song of Prayer", which makes it even more fitting! I feel like FFX doesn't get nearly the amount of attention it deserves. It makes me so happy whenever I see FFX-related content. Yuna and Tidus is definitely my favorite video game couple.
Especially coming from the FF9 "Kiddy-style" game. FF9 was an epic game but it felt childish for most of it. They definitely made FFX with ppl like me in mind. Beside a bit too much linearity and a shitty ending, it was one of the better FF after 4, 6 and 7 (definitely better than anything that came afterwards as far as single player FF are concerned).
I have very high expectations for anything FF music related you and you guys BLEW mine away here. The musicality of your performance was fantastic! Some covers of this song make it too feel powerful and I feel like you guys did great making it feel more somber, yet beautiful (as the lyrics are). The violin part at 4:30 took it home and gave me the goosebumps the somberness was prepping.
It's so satisfying to see my favorite song of all time from my favorite game of all time , still getting all the love even untill now . Great job guys !

I'm not even done listening to it yet, but one of the things that's really cool to me - and it's totally fine if you think it's odd for me to notice this - is how young the musicians and the singer are. Just think, this game came out when they were tiny, perhaps even before some of them could speak. It makes me wonder what, if anything, the game meant to them, and makes me enjoy their rendition that much more.
Remember, the game had a remaster HD version that got release many years later too. So maybe they might have picked it up then. Or maybe they came upon it by chance when they were young. The game came out when I was 7, but I picked it up during my teenage years by chance.

It was, "Eyes on Me" (Final Fantasy 8), my husband informed me when he played that game in his youth he'd sworn someday he have his future wife dance to that song. I couldn't rob him of that opportunity. It helped we played the game together. As a bonus I find Squall very cute.
This arrangement is quite different from the original and other covers. Congrats - while it has been changed alot, it still retains the feel and atmosphere of the original. Love your work!
i disagree, while the arrangement is the creator/s decision and no one should judge it, i think it misses the sweetness of the original, and sounds way more somber and medieval (medieval vibes couldn't be farther from FFX)

Lol yeah, that was the moment that killed me too. The game was just orchestrated beautifully and I'm glad Square haven't given up on the franchise.
