- I had the AWESOME experience of wrapping part of my own Cybertruck! Thank you so much for the opportunity @tesbros Its been an absolute pleasure working with you these last couple of days!
Vinyl used: 3M 2080 Matte Pine Green Metallic Vinyl Wrap

Cyber Truck should be easier to wrap versus something with a lot of curves... I'm sure you are enjoying it.

First of all, love the username 😁 second, when someone offers you free wrapping, you do not say no to them 🤣
The very first thing I would do is wrap it to preserve the like new stainless steel, even if it would be a silver color or clear wrap. It's going to be fun to see all the wild 3D photo graphics and different colors owners come up with to personalize their trucks, the sky's the limit with the easiest to wrap vehicle ever made.😉
I think the wrap looks great from what I see so far. Looking forward to the final result.

Nice color! What spray did you guys use, was that soapy water? Also, if you're detailing or washing a car don't wear a honking Lone Star state belt buckle. I know this is the CT, but still, it's a quick way of getting scratches on your ride. I always wear sweat pants and shirt. Cheers.

2 questions how does the Audie system sound? And have you tried to make the home dock vertical? I have seen it happen 1 or 2 times but in RC models. Thank you for taking us in this journey.

Could you make a video of it charging on a 350kw charger? Are you allowed by Tesla? If so, that video would get a million views if you're the first to do it.

@@OurCyberLife Will definitely stay tuned. By the way, I heard you say on one of your videos that you've never owned a Tesla before, so I'm not sure if that also meant any EV before. But if so, all the 350kw chargers that are active right now are all CCS, with most of them being on Electrify America. So you'll need a CCS to NACS adapter which you can buy directly from Tesla.
Many, if not most, Tesla drivers have this adapter as it gives them more charging choices as all newer Teslas can charge on all CCS chargers with said adapter.
Unfortunately, the CCS 350kw chargers need to be used to test the Cybertruck's true max charging speeds because the few Tesla V4 superchargers currently installed are only the dispensers/stalls which only put out the same as a V3 Supercharger (250kw or so max) because the actual chargers in the background have not been upgraded yet. Hope that helps.
You can download the Electrify America app and see which chargers are closest to you. Which helps in a pinch if the Superchargers are further away on a trip.

While I admire the skill required to apply vinyl wrap and PPF, I don't get the logic of covering the up the unique feature of an expensive stainless steel body.
Some people like different colors for their vehicles. Nothing new about this concept

How did you handle the "FOUNDATION" badging? I saw in a later video that the wording was there.
They have a plotter so they cut out the lettering in matte black vinyl and put that on top of the green.
Out of all videos in the public, one thing I have not yet seen is charging this darn truck and towing... it's been a mystery up to this point. We need out of spec Kyle to test this thing properly ASAP so that we know the charging curve and towing profile of this beast. There is just too much hype and unfortunately one cannot rely on the froth of the internet frenzy to buy this thing. Too much NDAs up in the air maybe that's why we haven't seen a proper testing yet. 🤞🤞🤞

The most important aspect of EV is charging, could you just go to the supercharger and record a session? Tesla has been shady about it and there is nothing available right now about how fast the truck will charge. It will bring you the most views so far.

Yep this is one of the big ones everyone's wanting to know, that and range test and towing test. It's the first thing all the main stream tesla tubers are going to do as soon as they get a hold of one.

There are superchargers within like 20 mins anywhere around Austin. Just make sure you try out V3 with 250 kw max and pre-conditioned battery. The reason this is so interesting is because 4680 batteries on model Y were some of the worst performers as far as charging in any Tesla produced right now.. it will be interesting to see if Tesla fixed that issue in CT @@OurCyberLife

3m color is a knock off of the original Frog green matt by vinylfrog now re branded as Matte Metallic Hunter Green Vinyl still is a super cool color.

im sure the 3m one way way easier to apply then the stuff i had .. mine what thick as hay .. and i had lots of issues getting the edges to lay flat even with primer.

I was checking my app obsessively, and I saw that I had a vin assigned and started freaking out! The next day Tesla called me to schedule my delivery

How well does the wrap stick to the stainless. Seems like it’s less “sticky” than clean clear coat paint.

Ah man, it’s not a bright color, I can’t wait to see a red one! I am surprised though that you opted to wrap it yourself, rather than a pro shop, but it looks fairly easy in the Cybertruck with its straight angles. Can’t wait to see it done in the next video.

It will come, they are still in double digit delivery numbers. Besides the fact Tesla is barely putting any CTs out, most trucks are show ponies, commuters or occasional work vehicles. Very few see “truck use” daily. Add to that the fact it’s a crew cab rather than a single cab - actual work truck.
I’ve ordered in the first 5 mins. Yet to have mine!
