Rounds 8-12 was some of the best boxing ever. I watched this fight the day it happened but I love coming back to it.

Well thats cause loma threw only 30 punches through 6 rounds. He literally didnt do anything but circle around on the outside. Apparently they said he had a shoulder injury and he wanted to pace himself. I guess after he knew he was down 5 or 6 rounds he said fuck it and actually started trying.
It would explain why he wasnt doing anything for 6 rounds. A lot of people say it was cause of teos power but that only makes sense for the first 3 rounds maybe. But once you are 4 rounds in you gotta start doing something otherwise the other fighter is never gonna tire out when theres nothing coming back at him. So him being patient to let teo tire out is just bs. No fighter is gonna tire out if he can just sit on the outside and unload on you and you dont throw back or at least hit him to the body when you can.

I had it 118 - 110 Lopez, Loma won 9 and 11. Teo fought Kambo very reckless, he didn't respect the game against Kambo and got caught with a flash knockdown early, that took him out of his game and cost him in the end. Kambo isn't that dude and we all know it. Loma is a sore loser and because of that I've lost a bit of reverence for his character, saying that I still respect his skills and if I'm being honest Loma barely edged out Haney but clearly got his ASS handed to him by Lopez.
That 14 month layoff hurt. Hopefully Loma will be back soon fighting the top notch fighters once again .

I’m trying really hard to see anything but Loma throwing this fight. He wasn’t being neutralized by Lopez like the announcer tried to sway you to believe. He literally could do whatever he wanted to but chose not too. I do not get this fight. Nothing technical is showing me why he was so apprehensive. Great fight I was backing lomachenko but loma was just to patient if only he started fighting earlier he would of won he proved that in the later rounds that he's a better boxer defensive and offensive but was just too patient still my all time favourite
I wish Lopez would have respected Kambosos the way he he did with Loma and boxed more an adding better defense instead of trying to brawl and take Kambosos head off. I think he would have beat Kambosos that way. Lopez is a fun fighter to watch, very talented kid, I would love to see a rematch between him and Kambosos to redeem his loss. All he needs is to protect his head better and use his boxing skills with better fighters like he did in this fight.

Did you watch that 12th round though? Lopez absolutely dominated loma and staggered him a few times too. Lopez landed 50 punches in the 12th round compared to Lomas 19 and sealed the deal for the fight.
If you had the fight even up till then, that 12th round showed that that night Lopez was the better fighter. Loma had no answer for Lopez in the 12th at all.

If you’ve looked at those numbers from compubox I think you should rewatch the round at slow motion. There is no way Loma landed only 19 punches, if anything he might have even outlanded Lopez but he just simply didn’t land big punches, mostly jabs.

I had this a close debatable draw, up until the 12th, round where Teo bit down and dismantled Loma. Commentator overhyped Loma being hurt in the 12th, but Teo earned that W for me with that last round. Still could have been a draw or even went Loma's way depending on the stylistic preferences of the judges.

When I rewatched it here for the second time, I had it a lot closer and I saw how/why the judges gave it to Teo. I may rewatch it again and see.
