What a great video! As someone who is learning Spanish and has also done some tutoring to English language learners , I think videos like these are wonderful! These videos show people that your teacher doesn't have to be a native speaker to be effective. In fact, I think sometimes non-native speakers can be better teachers because they are more aware of the difficultes that students can have when trying to learn a second language. Keep up the great work!

Muy interesante diálogo. Ciertamente debemos poner a un lado los prejuicios para poder comunicarnos con libertad. Como algo cotidiano. Soy de Cuba pero trabajo alguna temporada del año en Canadá y ellos son muy amables cuando se comunican conmigo así que simplemente me relajo y lo disfruto. Muy bueno su video. that will help you understand better how English sounds. That's the first step on practicing after you know the rules and the vocabulary as an English teacher. Listening to English in order to understand every single word, that's the goal.

Algo que he aprendido de usted es que para aprender el inglés se debe practicar y estudiar y para este último es necesario ir complementando lo que vamos aprendiendo con lo que ya sabemos y que aprender el inglés lleva su tiempo y como usted dijo en su video nadie va a ser experto o va tener un buen nivel en seis meses, es necesario que estemos comprometidos con nosotros mismos a aprender estudiando y practicando diario la verdad yo si quiero aprender y gracias a usted lo hecho o estado haciendo muchas gracias profe excelente video

Tengo entendido que hay cursos para eliminar el acento, de manera que suenes un poco mas nativo. Muchos actores de Hollywood extranjeros se lo exigen, incluso si su lengua natal es la inglesa, por ejemplo, el actor Chris Hemsworth, el que hace de Thor en las películas de Marvel, él es australiano, y tuvo que hacer cursos con profesores privados para eliminar su acento y sonar lo mas americano posible, porque a los estadounidenses, no les gusta la gente con acento y así muchos actores extranjeros. Creo que Arnold Schwarzenegger, ha sido la excepción a esto, pues, nunca pudo eliminar su fuerte acento austriaco, al igual que el actor belga, Jean-Claude Van Damme, que tampoco pudo eliminar su acento, aunque supongo que para un extranjero es difícil eliminar su acento del todo, por muchos años que estés en Estados Unidos, y mas cuando se aprende el ingles ya siendo algo mayor. Para mi, son tonterías, lo importante es hablarlo, entenderlo y que te entiendan, aunque se que muchas personas se apenan por no sonar igual a los demás.

I teach ESL adult students. I am a native speaker of English. All of you learning English don't be ashamed of your accent. It is a part of who you are. Most American don't know the difference between a Mexican, Cuban, and, Ecuadorian etc..Dont let anyone shame you. Learn English and use it as a stepping stone to a better life.

I think that the time that takes learning english depends of every person it isn't neccesary spend 02 or 03 years learning english.
It depends of how often you practice, how long you practice and being focus on your goals.
The most part of the "english teachers" say that you need to spend 02 years learning english but that is not truth, if you put the time for do it, you will reach that goal.
So don't let anyone tell you that you can not do it even a teacher or your own family, if you put the effort and the dedication that learn a second language needs, you will do it.
My coach used to say something: " If I can do it, you can do it better"
Idk wdym , the english language is constantly changing and evolving, 2-3 years aren't enough to reach an advanced level even if you work hard for it, unless you are surrounded by native speakers then you could do it faster.

En la lengua española.. existe una infinidad de acentos. Los Hispano parlantes no tenemos el mismo acento. Y sin embargo, nos entendemos. El Inglés es lo mismo, hay diferentes acentos.
