I really love the variation of Sheo's voicelines depending on your Shivering Isle's progress. When I first discovered it, it blew my mind.
Right? It's that extra level of effort. They did a lot of that in the Shivering Isles with multiple characters
I always said Oblivion is the love child of Morrowind and the not yet existent Skyrim. Its got all the care and attention of Daggerfall/Morrowind but a lot of the modern convenience/advance that would be seen in Skyrim.
It was also the first game of Bethesda that was relatively stable Arena/Daggerfall/Morrowind are held together by duct tape/string like its asking to fall apart and I should know due to my time with them and its extreme ease of which to break said games even when not trying. Oblivion is the first game by then that you cant really break at least not without deliberately trying to with some actual effort.
The way the flock of sheep simultaneously jumps in the air and land on their back to die was pretty funny to see.
I made the Mrs look at them doing it & she was less impressed than I was. Glad real recognizes real :P
@@DarkLOREDash don't worry dash, one day your boy will appreciate it hahaha. It'll probably make him fall about laughing when he hits the toddler age. I babysit my friend's toddler and they're so easy to entertain and their laughter is always infectious!

In Daggerfall the Daedra had certain days and some like Sheogorath it had to be raining during a summoning at say a witch coven. It's just lore from way back when.

Another interesting thing is if you go into the other Khaji houses it will be an absolute mess! Like they are stockpiling or something. It's a hidden thing that shows that these people were not alright to begin with.

I always knew that you get a different dialog if you become a Sheo but I could never imagine that it depending on a SI progression! Your lore series always shows something new to me!

This made start playing the ps3 version again. I love this game it respected the player and i liked for example the vampire effects and that you couldnt swim in heavy armor. Skyrim was way to dumbed down

Ever since i was a kid playing oblivion i've always stopped by the isles to get the wabbajack, juuust in case some npc gets uppity and we all know, they absolutely will get uppity.
The fact that even "essential npcs" can be turned into items. Is just the icing on the top of sweet roll. Personally anyone who else has a collection of npcs turned items in a chest in the haunted house? No just me? 😂

Your devotion to 100% dialogue trees scratches my adventure game itch. I would save and reload so many times to get all the dialogue responses in Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.
It will mean that you need to be an Imperial when you eventually do a Skyrim quest line, though, to get that hidden dialogue from hostile enemies.

Great job, getting for these various lines, depending on your quest progress with the Shivering Isles main questline. Pretty cool, they made it this way. When I did this quest, I already finished the main quest of the Shivering Isles, and so I had the quest given by Haskill.

@@DarkLOREDash It was funny, and kind of showed that, if I had that found it earlier, it would have been Sheogorath. That's the beauty of open world games like this, as the player might have a different experience than other players.

As much as I played the shit out of Skyrim, the writing took a hit, without Micheal Kirkbride. this was the last game of his twisted unique style.
the quest for cheese lovers. but a nightmare for animal lovers. so, as the player character turns into the next mad god, do the powers of the wabbajack actually change? or is the process of mantling a complete overwrite?
The wabbajack remains the same (though we possess the staff of sheogorath) would be cool if it morphed into something different & maybe dropped out of the shrines butt to add to the absurdity 🤣

Can you use the wabbajack in some funny situations? Like on Mankar camoran or on Martin Septim before in the temple of the one? How about transforming the dark brotherhood traitor quickly before you enter the crypt?
It only works on creatures, unfortunately! I forget Skyrims wabbapplication but remember it to be more... robust

I'm surprised you didn't wait until the end of the video for the extra dialogue for summoning Sheogorath, like you did with earlier Shivering Isles videos.
Really love the way you tell these stories, and that Khajiit voice was well done!
I didn't know there were so many different Sheogorath/Haskill dialogues, based on your progress. I thought there would be like three variations: before you meet Sheogorath, after you meet Sheogorath, and Haskill's variation, but the fact that they made so many of them and even made Haskill's dialogue that plays before you become Sheogorath shows how much they care about that DLC, instead of ignoring it and leaving it as a classic ''Oblivion'' moment, they went though the extra effort to make it as immersive as possible, even though they probably knew that there wouldn't be many people who would just stop in the middle of SI questline and go play Sheo's quest. Meanwhile in Skyrim after killing Miraak early, you don't get any new dialogue option during the main quest and nothing changes, except for a different dialogue with Herma Mora at Septimus' outpost (I'm also aware that Miraak has three intro voicelines, depending on your main quest progression, but that's nothing compared to so many different intro and outro dialogues that this Sheogorath's SIDEQUEST had). Sadly, not even Parthurnaax has any cool lore about Miraak.
They actually did it with a tonne of shivering isles characters. They will have different dialogue dependent on how far you are in the SI questline

I think it's in Morrowind where you actually talk to Haskill instead of Sheogorath. He even says that he occationally picks the phone up when his master is busy.
Have you tried using wabbajack on sheogorath
just finished that quest on my current caracter then this appears nice
I used to keep the rat poison on my character as an argonian and eat it due to the poison immunity my character wouldn't suffer any ill effects but would yowl in pain which was weirdly amusing, I'd jokingly call it a spicy snack
That has given me a delightful visual 😄

Honestly, Dagon being gooified by the Wabbajack feels both incredibly fitting and like something Sheogorath would totally have planned just to "prank" the Prince of being defeated. They should have kept the bug for the lols, along with adding in something that acknowledges your actions. Be it a message box or a voiceline from the madgod himself.

Sheogorath is thos worlds version of dyonsis. I know people are thinking of sanguine, but he's more into indulgence, dyonisis is the god associated with madness in greek mythology. Madness and wine.
