The first time I saw him singing was in the streets of colon (Germany) and he was 17
and it was so mind blowing.

AMK started with street music so Henning's voice had to sort of get so powerful to be heard in places with a lot of people, cars driving by etc. and they often just did videos out in the woods or abandoned buildings to use the natural acoustics. I think you can see that they just really love making music.

I saw him live last week, AnnenMayKantereit are on tour in Germany... his voice is unbelievable and catchy..
Two Indie German bands AnnenMayKantereit (the surnames of the founding members joined together) and Giant Rooks. I remember the original by Susanne Vega and the song was catchy but not my cup of tea. BTW the original is much longer and is the story of Susanne (I guess) in a diner and the interaction of the guy behind the counter and a girl who came in. The video is outstanding as is the collaboration of the two bands which as far as I'm aware is the only time this happened. Oddly the video is about 3-4 years old but it's only now that it's had recognition.
Orginal was Suzanne Vega and this song has been covered by a lot of bands. Blink 182, fall out boy, i believe sum41 might have done it too. It's just an awesome song with a good vibe so it makes sense.

These are actually two german bands. In the first room are the members of Annenmaykantereit and then comes together with the members of Giant Rooks in the second room. Henning May, the second singer with the raspy voice is the lead singer of Annenmaykantereit. The other one is Frederik Rabe from Giant Rooks.

I just saw your channel looking for the reactions to this Cover. And so was my reaction when I first heard this music. It was like today, Saturday, listening to TikTok and it appeared, I searched on RUclips to listen to them in full, I downloaded the music and I listen to it almost every day. But I looked them up, they are two bands from Germany, Giant Rocks the vocalist who sings first and AnnenMayKantereit is the second one with the husky, strong and powerful voice.

You should listen to the very original of this song from Suzanne Vega! There it is from and not the guy you said. And as a sidenote, the original acappela song from Suzanne Vega was used to creaty the very first mp3 on planet, because it had a so clear voice rarely to find.
