I am still in disbelief. Still shaking. That was one of the greatest Grand Finals I’ve ever seen, up there with 2015. It had it all. Panthers won with sheer guts, determination, brilliance, and discipline. They made one sole error that entire GF, resulting in a near-perfect completion rate. I truly thought they were gone after the third Ezra try, but they fought back, cementing themselves in history and legend..

I can see who Nathan Cleary idolises, he moves and plays just like the great All Black, Dan Carter!
It's like watching a clone of Dan Carter, the way he runs, he attacks the line, the fend, the grubber kicks, the Kicks to touch, even the conversions. Cleary is still young, he has a lot more footy years left, legendary status at 25 and counting. Would love to see him challenge himself in Union, I really think he's what Rugby Union in Australia, really needs to propel the Wallabies and the game itself!

Yep, hard to even be proud of their effort, because for the last 20 minutes there was literally none.
They got complacent and simply gave away the premiership, shameful. Ezra Mam deserved better for what he did for them.
I have nothing but respect for the Brisbane lions, they fought till the end and just got a few unlucky shots and calls. But the broncos picked up the premiership, and just said "I don't want this" and threw it away, infuriating.

How many times do we see this in games really though , where teams push to a solid lead then their game play completely changes and it seems they turn to defense mode rather than playing their natural game that got them that lead. (they don't always lose the game , but seen it happen a lot over the years, also Nathan Cleary what a beast)
Once they lose that momentum it seems like it's really hard to get it back.
A moment of brilliance can literally change the attitude of offensive teams and bring them back into the game for a dominating period - my opinion teams should never switch off or change the play style that got them in the game/lead.
Can NZ claim Nathan Cleary as ours? xD he grew up here for a decent bit hahah :P
