I found a short row tutorial! I didn't know you had this one. I haven't been following you this long. RUclips suggested this video for me! This will help! Thanks!
Great video, I have knit this pattern but I wanted a refresher on how to do. Your video was perfect. I like to knit these as a doily to go under my plants. This way if I drip some water when watering the furniture is protected plus they look adorable.
Brand new knitter here. This gave me lots of new experiences especially getting to work with a pattern. My friend loved my finished product and suggested it would make a lovely gift given with a fragrant bar of soap. Thanks a bunch for sharing this video and pattern with us.
Love your video! You make binding off look so seamlessly easy! I crochet but have recently been learning to knit! Can’t wait to watch more of your videos!
This was a great explanation…I watched a couple of other videos on this star dishcloth and they just stopped at the end of the first point, so, when it came to binding off for the beginning go another row, it threw me off. Thank you so much for the explanation!
this pattern is awesome! it came together very nicely for me and was a great learning exercise for a newbie. i'm wondering what the difference between slipping a stitch with the yarn in front vs in back is. i tried both and i am not yet able to pick up on the difference (or i'm finagling the stitch to make them equivalent). when/why would you use each approach? thanks again for this excellent pattern!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! As for slipping stitches - the yarn placement affects the edging. If you're working in Garter stitch (like this dishcloth), after working the last stitch on WS row, the yarn is in the back as you knit the stitch. When you turn the work, the yarn is in front, ready to slip the stitch. If you move the yarn to the back and then slip the stitch, the yarn wraps around that slipped stitch. Now, this changes depending on the stitch pattern that's being used (and where the yarn is - whether it's in the front or in the back - when you finish one row and begin another).
Can you please tell me how to make the last row in order to bind off just 14 stiches because when I finished the 10th row, I would have 18 stiches to bind off, 😳 Something must be wrong with my piece. My cast on and bind off both in the centre, not at the outer like yours, haizzz… spent the whole afternoon for nothing…🥺
It's hard to tell you what went wrong without seeing your work. Are you binding off the 4 sts at the beginning of row 10 before knitting to the end of the row?
I just want to make a yamulka knitted on straight needles because I can't do knitting on round needles. Can you help me to do it on straight needles and then sew together
You're a good teacher!

Loved the video. You do a great job explaining. What is the size of the finished work?

@@NerdyKnitting thank you for the helpful reply! that makes so much sense. i really appreciate you taking the time to teach these details.
You're welcome! I really had to think that one through - it's easier to demonstrate than it is to explain 😁
This pattern looks like it will make a perfect potion bottle cozy. Can you make it bigger just by casting on more stitches at the beginning?
I think that would work just fine - cast on and try it out!

Looks like a great video but I was lost bc you started after you knitted 10 rows. 😢
How many do I cast on
I just want to make a yamulka knitted on straight needles because I can't do knitting on round needles. Can you help me to do it on straight needles and then sew together
Sorry, I've never made one before!
I like your tutorial. However not sure about the SL1 wyif part. Wish you went through part alittle slower.
Hi! New knitter here, I’m wondering how did you start this project? Do I knit at the very start?
Yes. Cast on the stitches, knit the first row and follow the pattern.
Is there a way to make this dishcloth without the hole in the middle?
Yes - when you're weaving in the ends you can use it to close up the hole.
How does the circle in the center get closed?
When you sew up the two ends, use the tail to close up the center.
I want some written material how I can get
Right here: toniaknits.com/wp-content/uploads/Pattern-Round-Dishcloth-v2.pdf
how can you turn this pattern into a coaster
Cast on fewer stitches.
I can't find how to download the instructions
Here is the file to download: toniaknits.com/wp-content/uploads/Pattern-Round-Dishcloth-v2.pdf
Wish she started from beginning
Please translate in german
I'm sorry but I don't know how to do that.
