One of the best vids of the Abano Pass I have seen. Thanks. I've ridden a number of mountain passes on my motorcycle, but this was the best - best ride of my life. Good to see it again.
Sorry to get back so late. It is mentioned in the end credits. It is a fragment of this mega long track (the part I used starts at around 2:00:00 - yes, you got that right, it is a 3 hour track... ) freemusicarchive.org/music/P_C_III/Ad_Astra_Vol_II/In_the_Garden_1958

Hold your horses. A half billion dollars investment is made to short cut the route between Tbilisi and the Russian border, with a 9km long tunnel under the pass. This is quite a large amount of money for a Georgian infrastructure project. Now, I know this has nothing to do with the road in this video. There is no business case for such massive investment for Tusheti. Public pressure has done the rest with government plans to cancel various connection in the Tusheti area.
@@LookingEastChannel Thank you for clarifying the situation in that Region. I'm from the Netherlands, so I didn't know about it. Georgia is a beautiful country.
@@benbeesd3408 No problem. I am from Netherlands too ;-) To address your earlier point: this road surely does need a proper investment. (apart from the above I mentioned, the government had wild plans for new roads in the mountains instead of fixing existing ones... something with priorities)

It is possible to drive with a vehicle with a length of 6 meters and a height of 3 meters?
I assume you can. (Small) trucks drive the route as well.

Beautiful video, what car were you driving ?
Toyota FJ Cruiser.
I guess building a tunnel to your NP was too expensive for you, Georgia?
