I love them! However, sometimes the first and last bite are too hard. So, I have sort of regretted it. The middle bites are what keeps people coming back for more.
My favorite breakfast items are the sausage burrito and the sausage mcgriddle. Many years ago I worked as a crew trainer at McDonald’s and the franchise owners gave employees free food for their breaks (and provided the uniforms, all we were required to get was the slip resistant shoes). I worked mornings (usually 4am-11pm) and so my break was usually during breakfast. I’ve literally tried everything on the menu when I worked there so I could honestly make recommendations to customers when asked based on the kinds of things they said they liked (for example I don’t like coffee, but I do like the frappés and specifically prefer the caramel frappé over the mocha one because I like sweet things and so when I asked by customers I could recommend it for those who prefer sweet things and don’t care for coffee) and after having worked at McDonald’s often try new items when they’re introduced now, too. I will admit, however, to no longer being a big fan of pancakes. That’s because there was a charitable dinner for a local nonprofit. Myself and the assistant manager had to pre-prepare several thousand of McDonald’s pancake platters for it and then the “dinner” was from 9am to noon and we were soooooooooooo busy in the lobby with all the people there for the pancakes plus we still were busy with our regulars for breakfast and lunch in the drive-thru. I was training a new person in back drive-thru taking orders (the McDonald’s had the double drive-thru order area) and customers’ payments and because the freezer where all the pancake platters was stored was nearest to me I kept having to leave my trainee to get more cases of the pancake platters so the folks in the kitchen could heat them up and get them to the front counter. It was madness!!! I’m just happy the nonprofit raised a lot of money. The organization provides adult trikes for mentally handicapped persons who work part time (we had two who worked with us as prep people). The trikes grant them mobility and the organization raises money to purchase the trikes and donates them to the folks eligible to have them. So a very worthwhile organization, but wow did it make me look at pancakes differently! LOL. I did work with a nice lady who immigrated here from El Salvador and she often made her own homestyle versions of McDonald’s foods. At the time I worked there I was taking a class at the CareerTech center in town and so was her son. He mentioned that his mom would work on trying to get as close to replicating McDonald’s foods at home even before she started working there because she was trying to help the family save money. So unlike my parents who whenever my sister and I would ask to go to McDonald’s and we’d get told something like “we have food at home,” his mom would instead say “I can make that at home.” LOL. She was one of my favorite people to work with and a lot of fun to hangout with when we had breaks together. Fun video! I guess I never thought McDonald’s breakfast would be too different elsewhere. Like I know there’s variations. My local McD’s has biscuits and gravy on the menu, but I know it’s not on every McDonald’s menu as I’ve eaten at McD’s throughout a lot of the US and Mexico (traveling to visit family and friends, to events, etc). In terms of fast food breakfast burritos I think McDonald’s makes the best one, but if you can make them at home yourself I think they’re better in my personal opinion. Also most people don’t seem to know this, but you can get McGriddles with those big breakfast meals. Just ask to substitute the biscuit for a McGriddle. It’s in the system that the biscuit can be substituted for a muffin or McGriddle. Some franchises even let you substitute a tortilla for the biscuit, but you have to ask. Likewise with any of the sandwiches you can order one and substitute a difference. When I worked there we had a regular customer who’d order the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit but substitute Canadian bacon for the bacon and round egg instead of the folded egg. I kept trying to tell her that she could just order the egg McMuffin and substitute a biscuit for the muffin and it’d save her some money (because technically she was paying for bacon she wasn’t getting). She told me it’d wrong to do it that way, but I literally asked the franchise owners one day while they were there helping us out and both said that I was correct that she should order it that way if the only thing she wanted changed was the biscuit instead of the muffin. They said the biscuits and muffins were the same price for them to order. But the entire time I worked there she ordered it that way. She wasn’t the only customer like that either. In fact I had plenty of regulars whose orders I had memorized and whenever they’d hear my voice they knew I knew so they’d just say “the usual please” and because I recognized their voice I’d ring it up usually…unless I was training then I’d say something like “Oh I’m training someone today could you say your order so they can practice finding the items” and they always happily did so and were super supportive of the trainee (be they a new employee or an employee learning a new area).

You have to substitute the folded egg for a round egg. The folded egg is a powder and the round egg is a legit whole soft boiled type egg made on the griddle where you can see the yolk and white separate.
Folded egg is not powdered eggs. It's liquid eggs like you'd buy at the grocery store. The round eggs are fresh cracked eggs that are "poached". It's actually a combination of fried and steamed. It's not soft boiled.

Certainly better than Josh's description of the sausage in that burrito
I always find it so fascinating that Josh's accent changes depending on who he is interacting with
That's pretty much all multilingual people 😅
code switching
@@sasyassHahaha, right. Nothing fascinating there.
Loved seeing Steven in this one. He "gets" what McDonald's breakfast is all about. 👍
I can only imagine McDonalds breakfast in the UK.
"McBeans & McToast"
Probably!😅
We have a proper full English breakfast which is far superior to any McDonald's breakfast.
Nah sadly not
@@andrewwaller5913 Mate, we've got the full American - pancakes, streaky bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs, sausage, and toast. McDonalds is the mass produced, poor imitation. Love a good full English too, though!
LOL!!! Brilliant! 😂
Love the Jolly and Watcher collab need more of them.
The way the Brits were low key fighting for another bite of the sausage biscuit 😂
Tbh, my father was not a big fan of fast food but going out for fast food breakfast had to be McDonald’s and had to be the breakfast burrito. Like A++ (we now make our own breakfast burritos for Christmas Eve breakfasts in memory of him!)
The McDonald's Breakfast Burritos are incredible!! I rarely have them (or any McDonald's item), but they hit different!

I am totally with Steven, the burrito is my absolute fav at McDonald’s 🤷🏼♀️😂
You gotta open up the burrito and put one pack of salsa on the inside then you get the perfect amount of sauce each bite. Sausage burrito and the sausage egg mcmuffin are my go to!
I agree fully! The burrito is the BEST thing on the menu. And I actually only order burritos too!! Everyone else is crazy
I’m in total agreement with Steven on this. The sausage burritos are good!
I'm with you Steven! I'll take the breakfast burrito over the other stuff too! And I think the guys were all being a little pretentious in this episode. 😂🤣
The collab I never knew I needed
I only watch for Luke's reactions, they are so genuine.
The breakfast burrito is amazing. You put some of the mcdonalds salsa and some cholula inside it and it's the best thing ever.
Can't explain enough how good the breakfast burritos are I totally agree with the guy on the left
Ryan looks like Josh and Ollie burst into his home in the middle of the night and dragged him to McDonalds but he’s also happy about it
LITERALLY MY TWO FAVORITES CHANNELS BACK AGAIN im getting fed so nicely 😍😍
Love this crossover 😂❤
“It’s flavored like green” was the most American thing to say🤣
Sausage and Egg McMuffin is still my jam, ever since I was a little kid. Literally the only place I'll eat breakfast...which is rare to be honest. I haven't had anything from any other place since they all started serving breakfast.
Sausage Egg and Cheese McMuffin is the fucking best thing on the menu period. The only other item I will order that is finally back after a hiatus is the steak egg and cheese bagel.
I also grew up eating sausage burritos and I can't believe how much they were dissed in this video😂😭
Oh and as far as the chicken biscuit, add cheese yum
This is my favorite show ever I swear Jolly needs a tv show not just RUclips!! I love you boys!!!❤
I learned that the hard way when I bit into my sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin and got a whole egg shell in my mouth
This is the crossover I didn't know I needed
with Steven on this, the sausage burrito is definitely the best breakfast item
I love the burrito. It's not greasy, and easy to eat in the car with no mess.
I love that they decided to eat in the PlayPlace
I’m with Steven in the burrito! Love it! McGriddle is the best.
I related to “If i just ate it when I wanted to, I’d be dead.” on a spiritual and metaphysical level 😂
I would be, too. A sausage mcmuffin is my jam, but has to be once in a while
i'm with steven, man, those burritos are so good.
I can’t believe they didn’t try the Steak, Egg, Cheese Bagel….that’s the best item on the breakfast menu!
I know right. 👍
A lot of markets d/c it and haven't brought it back again. It was my favorite too. Sub with a round egg
I love that with hot mustard.
@@pissum420I live in Maryland and we’ve had it for about 3 years now
@@Birdbike719 they’ve been back in the Chicago market for about a year now and it’s been great, hopefully they keep them around! Yes, love it with the sub round egg!!
I like the burrito too, Steven, don't sweat it. Some people cannot handle the finer points of Mexican/McDonalds infusion breakfast dining.
Watching these four dudes eat food and crack jokes is like a shot of serotonin
The shamrock shake for breakfast is outrageous😂😂
i would 100% do it...on a day to day basis if i could lol but i fucking love mint
Those poor Jolly guys went from having real southern breakfasts to having a Californian gloat over a McDonald's sausage biscuit.
Exactly what I was thinking! 🤣 I was half expecting Josh to say "hm...needs some gravy" 😂😂
That breakfast burrito hands down is the best thing on their AM menu!
If Josh and Ollie learned to put salsa on things, fully coating them like we do, their opinions would change. 😂❤
Dude was dissing the sausage burritos but he picked the sausage biscuit as his fave like wtf 🤣🤣
Facts McDonald's biscuit are trash... the burritos and mcgriddles are way better.
Oh no... Grape jam for the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit... Love them...
As a kid I used to love when they had the shamrock shakes! 😆
As a Brit that’s lived in the US for 10 yrs, I’m cracking up watching this!!! 😂❤🇬🇧🇺🇸
As an American that lives in the UK, me too
As an Asian-American in the US that travels to the UK, what da dog doin’?
The bacon, egg cheese biscuit is the best item on menu with a sweet tea:)
Now the Jolly team needs Bojangles to experience a good fast food biscuit. Especially a Cajun Filet Biscuit. And a Bo Berry Biscuit
For real and why the hell didn't they get these in bacon?!
They already did Whataburger. Fast food biscuits don't get much better than that.
@@IzzyKawaiichi I love Whataburger, especially that honey butter. Their biscuits are good, but they are still a mile behind Bojangles when it comes to biscuits.
We have a Bojangles opening near us soon … thanks for the recommendation.
Yes they definitely need to come to Bojangles, I agree on that!
How did you not go directly for Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuits? 😮
Tbh… some peoples infatuation with sausage over bacon is other worldly to me
Exactly! That’s my favorite thing on the McDonald’s breakfast menu!
That is the best breakfast sandwich there.
@@TheSueChef Because bacon is overrated.
@@kaldo_kaldo blasphemy.
The McGriddle is the only thing I like on the whole McDonald’s menu but I absolutey love it
Maybe it's because you guys are British but you guys make everything sound so sophisticated. Keep up the great work
I think people always say how gross McDonald's is, because you are supposed to be revolted by it, but secretly love it. 🧡😀
No, it's truly terrible. Except the hashbrowns.
Fast food is good for you but not every item is that bad. Like dude saying he feels guilty eating a sausage egg and cheese biscuit nobody would call that unhealthy if it was made at home but because there’s a McDonald’s logo on it might as well be poison
This hurts...50 yrs.ago the big Mac was excellent!! Yummy. Nothing like today...fries are the same...ummm
Breakfast burritos are my favorite item on the menu hands down.
Sausage burrito is by far the best item on the McDonalds breakfast menu. McGriddle is a close second.
Literally came here to say this.
They are, but you have to eat them with the salsa .
By far the best then close second… you sped?
It’s still McGriddle for me. Sausage burrito is damn good tho
Y’all didn’t try the chicken McMuffin it’s so good!
Everyone else: That's disgusting. That is the worse item in McDonald's.
Steven: That's good. That's my favorite.
When he said don’t just the first bite, judge the second bite.. he wasn’t joking lol
These guys are insane. The breakfast burritos are hands down tbe best breakfast option
